Default Have a Seat Please:)

Have you ever gone into the theater to catch the show onboard, with seating at a premium, only to see someone holding a whole row for latecomers?

Does it annoy you, or could you care less, and would you sit there regardless of this person? Or, would you squeeze yourself into the seats behind the pole, and pout?

These same people are saving the lounge chairs by the pool

On one cruise we had kids saving seats everywhere, only to have their parents come in just before the lights went out. I thought that was not cool.

I have never had this happen to me, but I have seen people get upset. But if there was no good seating, I might be tempted to speak up. How about you?

Don't get me started on "chair hogs"....

Since this venue is not a social one, you are there to be entertained, especially if you come in right before lights out, I wonder why the need is there to watch it all together.

We had exactly what you described happen aboard one cruise. A 14 year old was saving a whole row of seats in the theatre for the "big production show", while his father and mother enjoyed their dinner. (I guess they didn't care if the kid ate or not!) The lovely Mrs. Jones (Vita) and I informed him that he wasn't allowed to save seats, and we promptly sat down. A few minutes later, his father showed up with a "gaggle" of people whom he was trying to put on the dog for, and of course, he raised he## with us. We smiled and once again informed him that the theatre was nearly full, and he was welcome to tell ships personnel that we had sat in the seats his son had "saved" for him. He decided against it, but it's a shame that some people are so self centered!
See you aboard,
Ken
