HELP, Flight LAX, embarking Long Beach to Mex Riveria??

Cruisemates staff, Help!!
We are looking into flying into Los Angeles International Airport and
embarking the next day at Long Beach for the Mexican Riveria on
the Carnival Pride. Please advise us on the distance from airport
to seaport! Also, are these difficult air/sea ports to deal with?
Any comments on the Pride and the Mexican Riveria would be
appreciated.

It's about 20-45 minutes by car from LAX to the pier. There are many shuttles available and the connections are easy. We use "The Shuttle." But cabs work nicely too.

We prefer to fly into Long Beach airport because the airport is much smaller and has a lot of original "deco" charm. It is also a bit closer to the pier and connections are very easy by cab.

Long Beach is a lot closer then LAX. The traffic can be terrible from LAX, so allow extra time if you choose to fly out of there.

We took a shuttle there and a taxi on the way back. Price was about the same for both but the taxi was much faster and it didn't have to stop and pick other people up. Cost was about $45/each way.
