Hi Kids,
I am up watching all my dvr'd shows, and cannot sleep...Going to the mall today to see what I can see..keeping the cruise in mind as I shop, then meeting someone for supper who I met at the bead shop.
Make it a good one.

Good morning, all! It is noticeably cooler in the "Burgh" this morning...I very nice reflief. I've been saying this for weeks, but work is crazy. Maybe even more so now than before. The only thing getting me through is knowing that Freedom is only one month away. I work my 10 or 11-hour day at the office, then go home to work some more!
I hope you all have a great, relaxing day. Take care!

Things have finally calmed down around here. The morning temperature is 49F (which is a lot better than 95F), and it's going to warm up to about 80, which is warm enough for me.
Here at work, the company is talking about moving the process that I work for, to a new location out of the area. The "company" people may be asked (told) to stay with the process, but the union employees will not have that option. The move would be at the end of the year. We will know in another week or two about their decision.
Good Morning!!! Today is the battle royale with my boss the Bloodbeast who made a bunch of baseless accusations against me while I was on the cruise. Should be fun since I have the facts on my side.
Hope everyone has a great day!!!!

Morning All, from Montreal where it's a cool 14C (57F) at this ungodly hour.
Waiting for it to warm up to predicted 25C (77F) later today.
I'm up this early for a long awaited appointment with my osteopath. My back has been giving me alot of trouble lately, and I'm hoping for some relief!
Had an unexpected day off yesterday when they called just as I was leaving and said there was still no power and hardly any kids, so don't bother coming in. I haven't heard yet about today....
Doug, I can't imagine coming home from vacation to that kind of nonsense.
Good luck with the Bloodbeast!
ML, you sound like my poor beleagured boss, working l-o-n-g days, and now having to deal with a construction backlog, a fire, a power failure and no phones!

Mornin' all. Still hot and humid in S. Texas. Would someone please ship some of those mid 70 temps? We start our day at 80 degrees this time of year. Today is the first day of school for our district. My 10 min drive to work will take 20 today. Doug, you're in my thoughts.

Sunny but chilly - only 50 out. I like it hotter, but most everyone is happy now. Somehow missed yesterdays morning thread all together. Not that I had anything to report. DH had another 22 hour day yesterday, and it is really getting old. He looks horrid.
Went for a walk last nite, dog got a burdock stuck near his eye, then got the ear stuck across his face. It was an ordeal to say the least. Especially as I could not tell how close to the eye it was. Tried to call the vet to ask advice, they were very non-helpful, and I expressed my displeasure.
Still grumpy today, know I have to mellow out, but everything that has been annoying me for the last few weeks is all of a sudden coming to a head and I feel like I could blow up at someone, which wouldn't be nice.
I really need a vacation.
Work today, then a pearl party tonight - not very excited about that, but can't get out of it.
Guess I'll get busy. Lots to do before I actually go to the office
It is a lovely, overcast and humid morning in that supplies mosquitoes to the rest of the world. Southeast Asia put in a call for 300,000,000,000 and we don't blink an eye.
I hope all have a good day.
Jen: Burdock can be a pain but a quick fast pull and dealing with the leftovers are the best way to handle them. Once you get the main obstructions out of the way you can see what you are dealing with. That's probably why the vet wasn't much help. If you can't see it you are running blind. I deal with that a lot with Kramer and it always seems to be near the eyes and ears.
I hope everyone has a great Wednesday and a wonderful downhill run.
Take care,
Mike

Good morning from Southern California. Gonna be three-digits today. Lots of shorts and t-shirts here!
Well, we have some unpleasantness going on. The guy working on our desk top computer called Tuesday to say that we have some nasty bug. I'm not much of a computer person, but apparently, it's in our bank accounts and takes data every time we do a transaction. This has been going on for the last few days. Keith is in the process of changing passwords. He had a rather harrowing day yesterday.
Gym this a.m., for him, so I hope he gets to work off some of the frustration.
