Default Another silly question!

We have all been on cruises and have had our share of fabulous desserts. Of all the desserts you have ever had in your life what is your favorite? For me it is not one of the fabulous shipboard desserts but simple and home made wins out. My favorites are my Mothers home made bread pudding served with heavy cream or vanilla ice cream on it. Equally a favorite is fresh berries with sugar and cream.

Laura I'll be right over for some of that homemade bread pudding. YUM!

There are just too many favorite desserts! I love creme brulee, flourless chocolate cake, hot homemade apple pie, turtle cheesecake, berry cobbler, and I could go on and on. No wonder I have to try to stay on my Weight Watcher's diet. You will find none of those foods in my house.

My mother-in-law's flour-less walnut cake. It is to die for. I make it from time to time but I can't get the walnuts ground to the right consistency. The only thing I want in the will is her grinder. It came from Poland and neither her or I can't find another like it.

Take care,
Mike

A bowl of the richest chocolate ice cream around, or chocolate gelato, or a chocolate sundae.

Default Another silly question

bread pudding with vanilla sauce and a dessert I had years ago on a cruise: a large glass filled with various berries and a cream sauce. Bread pudding is best if the consistency is custard-like.

Oh Steve - that is a good one! But my favorites (this is a tie) are the Princess Love Boat Dream and the warm flourless liquid center chocolate cake on Celebrity. MMMMM MMMMMM good!

Mohr Im Hend (Viennese Chocolate Pudding) is an almost cake like dessert that is served on Celebrity and is delicious. When served with the chocolate sauce and a heavy whipped creamy it is wonderful.

Our assistant maitre'd on Mercury made sure I had plenty after I told him it was my favorite. I recanted a story of when I had gone on a galley tour there was an entire sheet pan of them that I witnessed being thrown away and that I was ready to jump in after them. He made sure that I had platefuls of them for lunch and dinner. He also brought the dessert to me the evening we ate at the Captain's table, with the Hotel Captain.

I still love the stuff and will make it at home when I get a good dark chocolate.

Take care,
Mike

My very favorite is what I used to ask for every year for my birthday cake, but my mother won't make me anymore. Homemade Angelfood cake iced with Maple Frosting (which is a boiled frosting).

Hey Eaky. The lovely Mrs. Jones (Vita) and I just got off the Glory, and they had Bitter & Blanc. Good stuff!
