Great article, but I have a question:

Don't you mean 16 berths, not 16 cabins? When I was planning a group cruise with my TA (on Carnival) she talked about a minimum of 8 cabins, minimum of 16 "berths" in order to get all the goodies (including one free "berth").

I'm probably planning a group cruise for some friends and family in 2007, so liked getting your advise, Kuki.

Guess when editing that was something we overlooked.

Actually Dorothy.. I reread my own article.

The way it reads... 16 CABINS is correct.. for a free cabin.

16 people booked would get 1 free berth/person.

Last year after coming off a cruise, I sent out letters to family requesting interest in a family reunion cruise. The response was pretty good and we do have a group of almost 30 going this December. All are thrilled and I can hardly wait to experience a first for many in our family. I think this is the best way to reunite families since everyone is so busy these days. You have plenty of time to plan, pay, and prepare.
