Default San Diego Time Crunch

my friends are looking at taking a cruise on the Oosterdam the week of Nov 4th and are in the process of making their air arrangements

The carrier they are looking at has an 1150 am departure and then the next one is not until 530 pm

Can they make it off the ship on a Sunday morning in time to make that 1150 flight (in other words how many miles is it from the pier to the airport ?

thanks in advance

You can see the airport from the ship. It takes about 5 to 10 minutes depending on traffic.

You can also tell the purser what time your flight leaves. The purser can issue tags that designate you can disembark early. Otherwise, you could get stuck with local passengers (like us!) who have to wait until the very last to get off the ship.

It is true - the airpost in San Diego is even close to the pier than the one in Ft Lauderdale. I am in San Diego now.
