Default Thursday Morning!

Good Morning CruiseMates! Rain Rain go away, it is pouring in NH's Lakes Region. The weatherman promises it will be gone in a few hours.. I hope he is right. Looks like another busy weekend for us here. One of the local boarding schools is having a parents weekend. We have guests arriving for that. Have a great day CruiseMates.

Good morning, Laura and all the CM's to follow: We had nasty storms last night and this morning, the streets are just covered in leaves. I sure hope there are still some leaves on the trees for our trip this weekend.....one of the main reasons we are going! Today I am back to my senses and am not going to rush out and get a puppy....that could all change tomorrow, .
I hope you all have a great day.

Good morning from Orlando. It's been a busy week so far and only getting busier. Last night was the metro swim meet. 24 events, 4 or 5 heats in each. My son swam well and was happy with his night.
Tonight is senior night at the football game when senior football players, cheerleaders and band members are escorted across the field by their parents as their names are announced. I've waited 7 years for this moment (2 kids in band, not one that took 7 years! )
Tomorrow my son and I are off to Washington DC for some sightseeing and a college visit.

Good Morning. Its a sad day in NY with the death of Cory Lidle in a plane crash here yesterday. I did not see the crash as it was much farther uptown and obscured by other buildings. There was no panic and regardless of what the media reports I did not detect a bit of apprehension that there was a terrorist incident in progress.

Everyone have a great day!!!

Mornin' everybody,

It's a rainy morning here in Upstate NY too. Between my aching knees and my stuffed up sinuses, I hope this rain front goes through quickly.

It's a pretty quiet day so far, but the day is still young. Only one more day until the weekend!

Have a great day!

Hi There,
The sun just came up not too long ago. It is currently about 70 degrees here in Avon Park, FL. We may get a shower or two with the passing of the cold front, but the temps will just be in the lower to mid 80's instead of the high 80's. We've been having better sleeping weather-no AC!!

My son lives on the upper East Side of Manhattan-85th St. He called last night and said the airplane crash was at 72nd. He was working at MSNBC studios all day and the news was going to be on all evening. He said that the crash itself was significant and people were ohing and ahing, but then when it was determined that Cory Lidle was in the plane--the rawer emotions really set in, and the media was off and running.

Have a great day, Everybody!! (I think cruise ships are safer than small planes!)

Morning All, from a dark and rainy Montreal. We had quite a wind storm too last night, alot of leaves on the ground, and I'm surprised we didn't lose power, because it sure "dimmed" a few times!

Nothing much to report here. Cold still hanging on.
One day closer to the weekend....

Good Morning All,

Yesterday was grey and dull. It rained a lot last night, but now the sun is struggling to peek thru the clouds. The temps are still in the 50's, so I'd say the day has promise.

Very sad to see the news on Corey Lidle. Tragic indeed.

Wow, not much on my agenda today. I think all I have to do is go to work. Course when I get home there is tons to do, but it will be good not to have to run around. Have had lots of errands lately.

ML - it is a hard decision I'm sure whether or not to get another puppy. They add so much enjoyment, but also, when you travel it is so heartbreaking to have to leave them behind.

Hope you all have a lovely day.

Good morning all

Thought I would swing by and wish you all a good morning. Woke up to a white, frosty lawn this AM.

I'm off to my mother's for at least part of the day. She'll have a good day and then a bad day. I never know what is in store for her or me.

Hope you all have a good weekend.

Good Morning from a very nice Central Texas. Mild temps. and a little sunshine.

Already been busy this morning. Had to take hubby's new truck to the dealership, this morning. It decided to just die in the middle of the highway yesterday. Good news is I use to work for the dealership, so I know not to worry about good service. (I know where they live) Hopefully it isn't to bad. We are taught as military wives, not to give bad news while hubby is on a battle field, so this is one he will not be getting. Hubby loves me and that truck. For the first couple of months, I came in a close second.

Today I should hear whether I got the new job. I have decided I won't get it, and that way, it won't hurt so bad.

Need to clean, and go to the post office to mail Jim his first goody box. He is asking for Frebreez. Something must stink over there.

Everyone have a good day!!!

Luanne

Good morning from WI. There was a little snow on the ground this morning, but it's gone already. I won't be missing it. :-)

I had a good flight back from Boston yesterday. My sister is healing up well, and is going to stay at her own place now with her little doggie. She'll still need her daughter's help, but things are coming a long.

Today the new carpet is going to be installed. It's a month late, but finally we'll get this job done. Should give me time to catch up on things around here.

Have a good one all.
Phyll

Good Morning cruisemates! Cool (but not cold yet) fall weather continues in Calgary.

I was going to get a flu shot today, but they're telling me the shots are delayed - perhaps until Nov. Not too good, since people seem to have started getting the flu already.

I'm going to head to the Dr. anyway, and get some perscriptions renewed. Then into work to see what misadventures await me

Good morning cruisemates!! Houston area has mild but muggy temps and 60% rain this evening. Today is Columbus Day, funny how we don't observe it anymore... It is special because today is also my son's 35th birthday!!! ( funny that he is 35 since I am only 18 myself ). Myself, I still have my aches and pains but they will eventually go away. Fighting depression big time. I'll make it.

AngelaZ, I had to look at your post a couple of times. When I saw the phrase "senior football players and cheerleaders", I automatically assumed 55+. Shows you where my mind is.

Have a great day everyone

Michael, good to hear from you. Keep on fighting and keep us posted on your progress. It must be a tremendous struggle to come back from such a horrific crash. We are thinking of you and I think you need a lounge chair on deck, ANY deck.
