Default Sad Day For NH

Last Monday a gunman shot and critically wounded Manchester Police Officer, Michael Griggs.... Wednesday he died of the injuries. How sad that a man only 35 years old has to be killed by a punk in the streets. He leaves 2 young children and a wife. The funeral is being televised on the local th channel. I sit here and weep for them. Please offer prayers for this young family in their grief.

The day Officer Briggs was shot The school I work in went into a lockdown. No outdoor recess, classroom doors locked because the gunman was not caught until later.

My prayers for all who serve our country either the police or our military.
My dear son in law is a retired Boston officer with many years of experience. He has been wounded several times and lived to tell.
He is one of the very fortunate ones.
My heart and prayers go out the this family.

bty; My sil (Charley) will be on the Century for new years cruise.

Truly a sad state of affairs. Nearly the same as the tradegy which occured while we were aboard the "Mariner". The punk here shot not only 2 officers, killing one, but even the canine officer, killing him as well. I'm sure glad my days in law enforcement, and the military are over. God bless this brave man, and his family.
