Music Help - Electric Slide

This is a silly question, but I know someone out there will have an answer for me.

I was recently on the Caribbean Princess and they played this song that everyone was doing the dance the electric slide to. For the life of me I can't remember the name of the song. I need this song, it's driving me crazy.

So I need the help from very knowledgeable cruisemates

I remember doing that dance on the Caribbean Princess too MissKMM! I think it might have been a song called "The Ketchup Song" by Las Ketchup. I have it on a CD somebody made for me. Is there alot of Spanish in the song? Try looking it up on iTunes! Godd luck!

The Electric Slide was a HUGE hit in the USA for miss Marcia Griffiths... a one-hit-wonder, as it turned out. It is still played at most American weddings, a standard of sorts.

"you can do it.....it's electric..."

It never caught on in Canada for some reason.

Yup, I think Cynic is right. I'm thinking of another song that was used for group dancing.
And Cynic, the reason the Electric Slide never caught on here was people were too busy doing "Le Canard" (the Duck Dance) !!

In Detroit they do a variation of the Electric Slide called "The Hustle" (not the same as the mid-70's Disco-era Hustle)

The main song used for this variation is Stevie Wonder's "My Eyes Don't Cry" from his "Skeletons" album.

Any posters from "The Motor City" will likely know what I'm referring to!
