Regent has just announced they have cancelled the 12-11 Voyager cruise. Can anyone explain how they can do this, and not expect some negativity towards them? Just curious, as I was really really excited about going on my first cruise ever, and now will not be doing so. I really need a hug!!!
I have not heard about a problem, whats going on? Are they having propulsion problems, or has it been a sick ship? I know how disappointed you must be,and I hope you rebook, try another ship, or another line, but GO!

I agree with Trip, except that it's such short notice, you probably can't book another ship,,,,UNLESS it's with RCI. Since they already cleared you to sail on the Voyager, I'd think they would be O.K. with another ship, even on this short notice. I'd sure give it a go.
I can only imagine how disappointed you must be. Don't give up! Pursue the issue with RCCL and I'm sure they can find something for you in the near future. Sending you a warm hug from the Houston area .

Donna....when Voyager went into drydock on 11-20, they found an issue with those darn pods, cancelled the 11-30 sailing, then ours on 12-4, now the rescheduled 12-11. That makes a month that the ship is sitting. My sister and I are currently scrambling to find another line to cruise on. We are leaning towards Cunard and the QM2.

Understand your disappointment a little. We're canceling our wedding anniversary cruise to Panama today because of persistant pod problems with Celebrity's Milli class ships...we'd reserved our special cabin about 16 months ago when they opened the itinerary.
We loved Celebrity...but geezeeeee they've got to get this pod problem fixed (Pod problem...sounds sorta SciFi doesn't it? Anyway, we're seeing our travel agent this a.m to check out what HAL offers...
Darlene...thanks!! The one thing I am a bit bummed about is not being able to spend months researching the cruise like I did with Voyager. Not complaining a bit though, 10 days in the Caribbean with basic knowledge beats 7 days of "knowing it all"!!!
