Happy hump day, friends. It is a very cold day in the "Burgh". I've been freezing all week. I wonder what today will hold with my new situation at work? Every day is an adventure. I'm on 3 or 4 committees for the integration of the new company.......I think I may be busy for awhile!!!! .
I will really need this cruise! For anyone who didn't see the puppy pictures.....I've posted a few in the personal gallery. You all have a wonderful day.

Looks like winter is here to stay. Boy, is it chilly outside! At least I got my lights up yesterday. It was totally dark by the time I finished. I could not see the branches I was trying to hang the lights from. But I should get used to it, it happens every year.
Not much else going on today. Just trying to get thorugh another day.

Good morning from Central Texas where it is still cool, but suppose to warm up in the 60's later.
I have had to set goals for myself. Today, I will not cry. I will get some things done. I will plan to go back to work. This has been tough. I have enjoyed all the personal e-mails letting me know all of you were thinking of me. They sure have helped, but I just could not answer them.
I do have a cleaning problem. Does anyone know how to get blood out of carpet? I have soaked the places in carpet cleaner. I have used my machine, I even tried using hair spray (Heard that from a friend.) I can't get it to come out.

Good Morning cruisemates! A coolish day in store for Calgary, but warming in the forecast again by tomorrow.
The last time I used my alarm clock was the day I had to be up at 4:45 AM to drive my folks to the airport (last Friday).
This morning I woke up to the sound of my alarm, jumped into the shower, got dressed, went for my coffee and read the newspaper, then I saw on a clock in the kitchen that it was 5:30. I thought we must have had a power outage during the night... but Nooooooooooooo!

So, here's the dumb moose up 2 HOURS earlier than need be!
Morning All, from Montreal where it's dull and gray again, with a dump of snow expected again. Good news is, the temperature has warmed up to -3C (26F). Actually, the snow is great news for the daycare kids, because they just love playing in it and it keeps them busy!
Got a start on Christmas cards and shopping yesterday. I'm way behind as ususal. With Christmas and the cruise getting closer by the day, I'm beginning to feel panicky!

Kuki, that's a funny story! Hubby did something similar at 1 a.m. from a dead sleep suddenly jumped up out of bed. He thought he heard the alarm!! Scared the wits out of me!
It is cold and cloudy. I was hoping for the sun to be out today, but it doesn't look promising.
Not much going on here. Dh got home at his scheduled time yesterday, of course he wasn't even home for an hour when he got called out again.
It just seems unreal.
My neice is back in town now until after Christmas. I won't be lonely anymore. We have such fun!
Off to work soon. Then home to tie up loose ends, then will teach my Bible Study. Hope to get all the paperwork finished before I go on my two day shop. I hope I can get everything for the people on my list. Time is running out. I'm getting nervous.
Luanne - I've been thinking about you and your Dh and will be keeping you in my prayers. What a hard time you've both had to endure. As for your carpet - do you know the manufacturer or the store where it came from. They could probably give you tips on how to get out the blood, ways might vary depending what material the carpet is made out of. If not you may want to call in a professional carpet cleaner and get that rug done.
Kuki - hope the first thing you did once you shut off the alarm was change it for tomorrow. In fact, can't you turn it off now and keep it off? Life of leisure and all that jazz?
Late start today for me. Had to take DD to school really early today. She was leaving on a 3-day school Geography Trip to Mattawa ON. Boy, it's going to be really cold up there and lots of snow.
My day always starts at 4:30 am....

Nothing going on here but the weather,,,baby it's cold outside !! Guess winter has finally set in with a vengence. But I don't care,,,, I'm going on a cruise in 20 some days,,,
Kuki our alarm also went off early this a.m. But DH had set it because he was going fishing. I'm sure it's a man thing,,,get up when it's still dark and venture out into the cold to catch a silly fish. It's rockfish season here in the Cheseapeake Bay,,,,
Doug missed the photo in yesterdays post,,,and Ray missing those sunset/sunrise photos as well.

We will be super busy the next week. Tomorrow I am getting my hair done< the gray has got to go> friday the groomer, in between I ahve to power wash the pool deck. This weekend our lawn guy is coming to do all my bushes. My dh is painting the pool deck, we are putting a small fireplace there , plants and new blinds. Yup, the relatives are coming to town Did I mentioned we are also doing all the rugs? Next weekend we are going to www.southseasresort.com for our annual christmas party and I do get to relax a bit. Sunday in 1 week my dad is coming for christmas. I also made reseravtions for my Germany trip for the end of January. I am taking my girlfriend with me since my dh has no time off until 2008..yup 2008. The Africa trip took all his days and next years too.

Luanne, for the blood in your carpet, try hydrogen peroxide. My daughter (the nurse) uses it to get blood out of her uniforms. If that doesn't work, go to WalMart and get some Blue Magic carpet cleaner in the automotive section. Works great on everything I've used it on. It even got motor oil out of the carpet in the car.

Good afternoon all. I just got back from a few hours at the Head Start day care center. It's so fun, but I need a chance to sit back now and catch my breath!
I heard some noises outside last night, and thought something was up. As I tried to decide whether to call the police or not, I saw those flashing lights pull up. Seems like a senior citizen took the wrong turn into our condo parking lot, and hit a few parked cars along the way. OOPS! Guess even senior citizens stay out til 2AM. :-)
