David and I leave on Friday at almost Midnight for Acapulco. We will be spending all day Saturday and part of Sunday there and then board the Regal Princess for our 10 night cruise through the canal on Sunday. We have only done half of the canal before so this will be a bit different plus several new ports for us.
Does anybody have restaurant suggestions in Acapulco? We're considering Baikal, El Olvido, and Coyuca 22 so far, but are very open to suggestions. Any comments?
I'm looking forward to our ports of call in Mexico, Guatamala, Costa Rica,
Panama, Aruba and Puerto Rico. But mostly I'm ready for a few days of leisure at sea. We can't wait!
Location: Wisconsin....about 100 miles south of the Frozen Tundra and 70 miles east of Camp Randall
Bon Voyage, Chuck! I want to take my Dad on a Panama Canal cruise one day soon....before he can't travel anymore. But he doesn't like flying because of his ears, so I'm trying to figure something out. But I will get him down there one day!
Carnival Breeze with Ray Band Aerogirl 5/4/14!
"Knock-Knock" (The miniature dachshund) will be at the vet's office. Our vet usually only boards patients for medical reasons, but the whole staff there love him a lot. He is their little mascott when we're away. They let him run around, climb up on laps, kiss and hug, etc. So he really enjoys his stays in "puppy jail." There's very little solitary confinement.
Our cockateel "Mijo" (meeho) is going, cage and all, to our good friends Leona and Ken who live in Portland, Oregon. He seems to like his visits too because he talks and sings to them all day and all night, when we're gone, until he is covered for sleep.
So I guess all is good for the animals. I'm just now finishing up my report cards which go home with the kiddos on Friday. Then it's finalizing packing
and off to the airport in the ugly white shuttle van.
Oooops I guess I'd better pick up the dry cleaning, go to the bank for some dough, and stop the mail. Oh I'd better go to the book store for a couple of good reads for the trip too!
