Default Wednesday - He is now checking his list twice!!!

Are you naughty or nice? Busy at work wrapping up the last little details before the end of the year. One of the wiseguys who commute with me put a pamphlet under my windshield wiper last night on avoiding deer. grrrrrrrrrrr . Has to be someone who commutes with me in the morning and takes an earlier bus back. The guilty (and more than likely some of the innocent) will pay!!!

Hope everyone has a great day!!!!

Good morning from Orlando. Doug, your pamplet on your windshield reminded me of when I went outside to get the paper one morning last week and there on my front lawn was a sign from the health dept. saying our pool was closed due to it being operated in a manner that was injurious to public health....didn't really phase me since it was from the office I used to work in....good for a laugh and nice to know old friends were thinking about me....I did however get it off the lawn before the neighbors saw it

Mornin' everybody,

We are getting close to the end here at work. They shipped two tractor-trailer loads of production equipment down to Virginia. I'll be busy today packing up the shop cabinets to send to another plant here in the valley tomorrow. Then it's a matter of cleaning up whatever is left and throwing it away. I'm not sure when my computer is going to be taken away, but it's been fun sending messages first thing in the morning. We'll see what I have next year when I get to my new location.

Have a great day!

Ed

Good morning and Happy Hump Day:

Heart warmong story in local newspaper:

"Local volunteer wins $500,000 jackpot! Retiree was helping seniors on field trip to mall when she picked up winning lottery ticket"

It goes on: "If you need a reminder of the benefits of volunteering during theis holiday season, the Atlantic Lottery Corporation PayDay served up 500,000 of them yesterday"

Apparently the winner, Bernice LeBlanc, went to pick up her winnings she thought was $50,000.00 and was extremely surprised when told she had won $500,000.00. This lady worked 23 years at the nursing home before retiring 10 years ago and has been vounteering ever since.

Moral of the story: If you have a winning ticket, allways count the 0's.

Good morning all.

Nice story Bill.

Ed, maybe you should ask Santa to bring you a computer. I don't like thinking about not having you around here for the good morning thread.

Doug, nice picture. Makes me think I should get busy and book that catamaran for a Sting Ray City tour.

The sun is out and I think I'll head out towards the beach before the clouds roll in.

Good Morning All,

It is finally a little like winter here. A dusting of snow and 22 degrees.

Dd will have too have surgery on Jan. 3. She will have the sac cut out. It is a little tricky because there are a vein and an artery in the way. It can't be done in office, but we must go to the hospital and she will be knocked out. She will have to wear a splint for a week. Not good timing, as they have to leave on Saturday for the 21 hour drive back to Tenn. But the doctor didn't want to wait until summer as it is pressing on nerves, and too wait that long could result in nerve damage.

The drama continues here. Yikes. I so need a vacation. Definately need a cruise - why are there none on my horizon. Guess I'm on the naughty list.

Worked like a crazy woman all day yesterday. Caught up a little, but there is still much to be done. Not sure if I'll be successful at finishing it all, but I'm gonna try. Even with trying to eat more, I've lost more weight, almost 3 pounds. The doctor will have a fit.

Ed - still keeping my toes and fingers crossed you have a computer to
post from!
Doug/Angela - isn't it fun to have fun friends?
Bill - great news story. Nice to see someone deserving receive something nice.

Hope everyone has a spectacular day,

Morning All, from Montreal. Yesterday we had a little dusting of snow, but nothing to write home about. Today, it's just sunny and cold. It sure looks like it's gonna be a green Christmas.

Doug, great photo! We have one just like it on the Fury Catamaran, and like Phyll, you've reminded me I need to book my shore excursion for Grand Cayman!!

Eddie, I sure hope Santa brings you a computer for Christmas. It wouldn't be a good morning without your daily posts!

Bill, what a great story. Thanks for sharing.

MissKMM, 5 more sleeps till the Big Guy, and only 10 mopre sleeps till the Big Ship!!!

As for me, I have to get through 3 more days of screaming excited kids who are also counting the sleeps till the Big Guy comes! It's gonna be a l-o-n-g week!

Good morning all;
yesterday the temp was 84 degrees; so it has been kinda tuff getting any work done when all I could do was think about going to the beach.... (don't you just hate people from Florida that tell you how great the weather is).

Had to go shopping last night for a "gift exchange" present that was politicly correct, appropriate for either guy or gal; that wouldn't offend anyone and that was under $20.00; who thinks of these darn gift exchange things anyways.... next time, I am just putting a twenty dollar bill in an envelope....

Good morning from Central Texas where it is raining, and cooler.

This morning in my e-mails was a newsletter from Cruisecomplete, about a New Years blow out on the Century. At first I thought it was a joke from one of you, but it is real. I figured it was sold out, since everyone from Cruisemates was on it.

More cleaning for me today, and maybe a trip to the store. Still don't have a tree up, but this is the last day of school, so should go up soon.

Everyone have a good day.

Luanne

Good morning, mates!

A very, VERY restless night for me last night. Lots of tossing and turning. My MIL was on my mind. I am really feeling that she needs to be in assisted living. It has gotten to where she is more likely to fall (than not) everytime she gets up. It is not practical for me to be by her side 24-7. Her frailty combined with the dementia.... Not sure what my next step should be. I know she won't agree with me and I'm not sure the rest of the family realizes her condition.

Loved the stories and the pic this morning. Just what I needed. Couple of appointments today and one more gift to buy.

Everybody have a great day.

Default Wednesday - He is Now Checking His List Twice

Good morning from a sunny but cold Southern Californnia.

Doug, I liked the picture.

Darlene, my mother was in exactly that same situation. But then she had another stroke and the hospital said she couldn't go home and that she could not handle assisted living. Ultimately, she wound up in a memory care facility that also houses assisted living people. She is happy there, although it took a few months of adjustment.

Gym day for Keith, and I have ironing to do.

Cruise is getting close, isn't it? I finikshed my wrapping, so I can start packing any time now.

Have a good day, all.

Judy
