Default I ate at Taco Bell

Yesterday I ate three tacos from Taco Bell:

Today I awoke with nausea, gas, vomiting and diarrhea. I heard that the lettuce was tainted with ecoli bacteria.

I guess the lettuce has been tainted for the last thirty years.

Take care,
Mike

I'm sorry, Mike. Never eat there myself. Take good care of yourself.

Ar - that was too funny.

Mike sorry to hear you are sick. I just heard yesterday the head honcho from Taco Bell now gurantee that everything was 100 percent safe.
Fast Food always gives me those symptoms, so I don't eat at them much, or eat very little.

Hope you feel better soon. What an awful time of year to be down with food poisoning.

Wait a minute! That guy with the English accent keeps coming on my tv and saying that everything is perfectly fine now at Taco Bell. Guess he didn't eat the Tacos.

Hope your tummy feels better Mike. Your fellow Cruisemates provided me with a few good chuckles out of your situation.

Phyll

Tell us, Mike... was it the usual, everyday diarrhea that one would associate with that place, or something special?

3 whole tacos.... you like living on the edge I see.

In this area, we have no Taco Bells. However, we have a local "delicacy" called Cretons which more than makes up for that.

Mike,

Sorry to hear about your bad experience! I guess that really was "fast" food..........

By the way, anyone know what a Schlotzsky's is? One just opened down the street.

Cretons du Québec

2 pounds leaf lard*
3 pounds ground pork
2 small pork kidneys, minced
2 cups boiling water
1 cup chopped onion
1 T. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
2 cloves garlic, crushed
1 bay leaf
1/4 tsp. savory
1/4 tsp. whole cloves
1/4 tsp. nutmeg

Cut leaf lard in 1/2-inch pieces. Render over low heat until light golden, stirring occasionally. Drain and save fat. Grind cracklings in meat grinder. Simmer pork and kidney in water 1 hour, stirring occasionally to avoid sticking. Add cracklings and remaining ingredients. Cover and simmer 2 hours, stirring occasionally. Remove bay leaf. If mixture appears too lean, add a little of the rendered fat. Cool slightly. Mix well to distribute fat. Pour into bowls that have been rinsed in cold water. Chill until firm. Makes 7 cups.

*Leaf lard is rendered from the fat of the abdomen of the hog. It is used for its special characteristics of firmness and flavor.

A pork spread served on bread for breakfast or lunch

Thanks for the concern from everyone but the post was a joke concerning the recent problems with e.coli and the effect of Tacos on the system.

I'm sorry if anyone took it the wrong way and I'm fine.

Take care,
Mike

I knew EXACTLY what you were doing Mike. 8) Once in a while I'll stop at TacoBell but only when I have plenty of time off the following day..........I think Dave the Wave was really "concerned" about you!

Our office was just down the road from Taco Bell headquarters. One time a client visiting from Idaho Falls thought Taco Bell was the Mexican phone company.

Not seriously.

AKA

taco smell
toxic hell

I was a manager for one of those in Tampa. We actually had breakfast. Nothing like a bean burrito at 7 in the morning. Thank god we never had anyone get sick at our store, I wouldnt have it. You could have eaten off our floor it was that clean.

If I wouldnt eat the thing, why would I serve it to a customer ( there isnt much I wont eat ). Remember this, those beans arent really beans. Just add hot water and stir.....ewwwwwwwwwwwww

Tim,

I actually agree with you. I'm somewhat of a food snob but I find that Taco Bell a.k.a. Toxic Hell can be a good fast food alternative. I have eaten there many times.

I applaud the managers and people who work in any restaurant who take pride in the product they serve and the cleanliness of their establishment, be it a Taco Bell or any other restaurant.

Take care,
Mike (Who believes that fast food can be quality food.)

You are hereby sentenced to 20 lashes with a soggy Super Burrito.

Mike - do NOT go to ANY restaurant for the next 7 days ... until we meet at Lombardi's. What would we do without our leader on the Sail of the Century???

Be a good boy now - and no more kidding around to scare us half to death. Knowing you - I knew it wasn't true.

But you have been warned!!!

Mike, you are so funny! I just hate that I'm going to miss this cruise. I can only imagine all the thoughts that cross your mind, that you never act upon! All I can say about you is "You just can't help yourself, I'm sure!" Go easy on them!

Here in Canada we see an advert for Pepto Bismol listing the same symptoms you "had".
Very annoying ad with dressed up people mimicking Nausea, Heartburn, Indigestion, Upset Stomach, Diarreah.
Yuck!!!

However, and you knew there would be one, I find chewing a Pepto Bismol tablet every morning in Mexico saves me from the Montezuma's!!!
Or is it the Corona that does it? Either way, something works.

I can't eat at Taco Smell anymore. I've eaten there twice in the last 5 years and both times gotten sick. Any other fast food is o.k. with my system but not Taco Smell.

Regards,
Thomas
