Good morning Steph and all the CM's to follow. I was at work bright and early at 5 a.m. Ripley was a big factor in that decision! Sh was up early this morning...so I figured I might as well get this party started. Gary's last day of work was yesterday. I'm sure it was bittersweet for him. He has spent 30 years in that place. At least he has a cruise to help ease the pain. I still have not packed one item. All of you Century cruisers may see me in the same outfit the entire 5 days! Oh my! Have a great day, friends.

We are on the road again today,,we are in Brunswick, Ga. Florida bound,, Hey it's only 35 thought this part of the world was warm.

The traffic is awful,,,that is why we are up so early,,,gonna try to beat some of it thru Jacksonville,,Seems everyone has decided to head this way.
I'm off to Miami,,,,

Good morning from Orlando. Was up and out early this am taking my sisters father in law to the airport as he's off on a trip to see my sister and her husband, his son. At least there's no traffic at 5am!
The suitcases finally made it out of the attic last night so things are looking up for our packing situation. Sure wish I didn't have to work today or tomorrow.

Good Morning all! Last workday of the year for me . Beautiful sunrise over Brooklyn this morning. A big red sun is just peeking up over the horizon. Been quiet and very productive all week with no bosses around to ask stupid time consuming questions or handing out worthless time wasting projects.

Good Morning,
I haven't been on in awhile, only have had time to lurk, but wanted to say hello. It is sunny and cool down here in Avon Park, FL. Computer temp says 48 degrees. Brrrrr. But--it's due to start getting warmer today until the rain sets in again, most likely on New Year's Day.

I have a hunch that Santa was good to all of you. I just want to add my best wishes for a wonderful Cruise of the Century. With the group you have going--you can't help having a good time!!!

Heart warming local newspaper story: "Christmas generosity overwhelms area family"

[b]"Local RCMP (Royal Canadian Mounted Police) and businesses save holiday just in the nick of time Christmas Eve. It sounds like a grand-mother's greatest fear - having nothing to put under her grand-childrens' Christmas tree on Christmas Eve. But that fear became a reality for one of Metro grand-mother on Sunday night, after her car, containing all of her grand-childrens' gifts, was broken into."

The story goes on that this grand-mother just became aware that her gifts were gone around 10:00 PM Christmas Eve and all the stores were closed. Members of the RCMP called some business owners at home to open their stores in the middle of the night to officers who selected toys for the grand-children.

The grand-mother's last comments:
"I hope the thief reads this newspaper, so he'll know he didn't ruin Christmas for this family"

Good Morning cruismates!! Like you everyday, today I don't give a rat's &&& how the weather in Calgary is since I'm in Miami.

The weather here is going to be clear blue skies and in the 90s, maybe. I'm pretending... but it is forecast to be in the 70s

On tap today.. to try something new, a new adventure...

so instad of Bar Harbour Mrs Kuki wants to check out Villages of Merrick Park. The poor dear missed the after Christmas sales at home.

OH and last night debunked any myth that Mrs. Kuki's recent weight loss would reduce her snoring. There was a major shift in noise level though..... we've gone from a train roaring to past to "we got us a convoy"!

Morning All, from Montreal, where we woke up to another heavy snowfall this morning (it was NOT forecast!). Now I'm worried about flying out of here tomorrow, there had better not be any more snow!

Still at the "clothes laid out, suitcase open" stage. Still gots lots of packing and organizing to do, plus check all of son's stuff as well.
DH, as usual, is stressing out to the max, worried about fitting suitcases in the car, and having to return a Christmas gift with a big line-up today....

If we survive today, and the snow doesn't ground us, I will see some of you tomorrow in Miami, or Sat. onboard!

Good Morning All,

We too are enjoying (?) Donna's unscheduled snow. I didn't mind the 50 degree weather, but knowing how bad it hurts the economy I can't begrudge the snow for those trying to make a living.

Off to work in a hour. Lots to pack into today. The list of things to get done just never seems to diminish. As soon as you think you are catching up, you begin to realize how far behind you really are.

Had another evening with family activities. I think tonight will be quieter. We are all exhausted here. People are getting grumpy. I'm tired of trying to be the peace keeper.

Easy Packing - especially for MaryLou, and RD - and of course James

Good Morning from beautiful downtown Lakeland, Florida where it's a cool 50 degrees or so. (going to 70 today they say) The lovely Mrs. Jones, (Vita) is pretty much packed, and I've given her the docs, and passports, so tomorrow night, I'll throw the "tux t-shirt" and the "Cruise of the Century" t-shirt in a bag and we're ready to rock-n-roll. (I can just hear Norm groaning now ) We can't wait to head South, but since I have to work on Friday, it'll be Saturday A.M.

Can't believe 2006 is just about wrapped up; was watching Rudolph's Shiny New Year (circa 1967) movie two days ago and at the end Father Time wishes everyone a happy "19 Wonderful" and Baby New Year turns into "19 Wonderful"; I guess the movie makers never considered the longevity of the movie. So everyone out there, Happy 20 Wonderful 07.

Not near as much activity at my house as compared to all my traveling mates. DH is going to going to "play" today with a friend, who is also off work. Possibly a round of golf for them. I will tend to my MIL and maybe get my Christmas decoratins put away.

RD, I sure hope the snow breaks just long enough for you to fly out.
Trip and Mrs. Kuki, sure wish I could go shopping with either of you.
BW, I always like to read about the good things done by individuals, just to help out another person.

Larry brought the suitcases downstairs.......so I guess I should start putting things into them.......
