Hello and good morning Cruisemates!! The temps are really low this morning. As I was leaving my Sis' house yesterday evening, I drove through some flurries on the way to work. The temps have been hanging at 28-29 F for the past two days at her house, and 30F in Downtown Houston.
Makes me wish I was cruising in the Carribbean.
Good people sleep peaceably in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf.
Courage and perserverance have a magical talisman; before which difficulties disappear and obstacles vanish into the air.
Pick your company wisely! Hang around people who are going to help you become all God created you to be.
It's a chilly 13F here in upstate NY. It's enough to freeze something off a brass monkey. Finally it's starting to feel like winter, so I feel good about leaving for a cruise to get away from the cold.
Got an eye doctor's appt. today after work. I'm about a year past due, so it will be good to get new glasses.
Good Morning from a very frosty NYC. Temps here are finally what they call seasonable. Crazy at work with training and a number of issues that always seem to raise their ugly heads at the worst time.
Everyone have a great day and here is a photo worth repeating because we need it here in the NE.

Good Morning from Central Texas where it is cold, white, and did I mention cold?
When Jim was here, he always got up in the morning earlier than I did, so he would always let the dogs out. He is not here, but they are still on his schedule. I have learned to let them out in my sleep. Lately, they have been running outside and doing their business without stopping. This morning I heard them playing. Five o'clock in the morning, and they are playing. We have two inches of snow and ice, and it is still coming down. I know all your Northerners think that isn't much, but to us, it's a lot. Schools are closed, and a lot of businesses opening not at all or late.
Doug, you have no idea how much I needed that photo this morning!
Presently, it's -24C here in Montreal, with a wind chill of something like -35!!
Yes, winter is here at last.
I have been working hard on a scrapbook/photo album of our Century cruise, and the best part is re-living all the wonderful memories of cruising with CruiseMates friends. Put on my CD, pour myself a Margarita, and I'm transported back to NYE at Margaritaville - a great "cure" for the cold!
Liam - good to see you posting again! We miss you!

Bbbbrrrr! It is cold here. Not used to these temps in this part of Texas. Mehawk, pray for your safe trip home from work. Lots and lots of ice out your way. Luanne, stay warm.
Doug, that picture is always worth repeating. Makes me go "Aaahhh!"
Mike, I kind of like your schedule for today. Not exciting, but not bad. Kind of similar to mine. I just love your humor!
We got home from our cruise on Monday and my DH had a dentist appt that evening. He needs a crown! They just give those things away -- NOT! Then yesterday while trying to get the wash done, my dryer quit. DH took it apart when he got home last night and it is the motor. GRrrr! I dare not ask what next because I may find out.
Well, need to get my MIL breakfast. Everybody stay warm, today!

Cold here, tho' it has warmed up to negative 7. A regular heat wave.
Doug - love that picture. It was a welcome sight this morning.
Mike - love your agenda.
Mine was similar - woke up, walked dog, made coffe, answered emails, checking out the boards. Gotta shower, then might go to work, but might not. Can't find my keys and the pastor is out of town so I can't open the doors. Have an orthodontist appointment at one, then teach my Bible Study at 4. Don't have to make supper tonight as DH is going right from work to his Union meeting - which is a hour drive each way, so I'm pretty sure he will pick something up with the guys on the way.
Try and get some paper work done here, then watch Idol tonight.
Luanne - sorry about your weather, it is hard for people that don't have the equipment that we have here in the north. Hope it warms up soon. Also wish your doggies would adopt a different alarm clock. My dog does pretty well. Has to go out between 7 and 7:30. But I go to bed pretty late so he usually goes out after 11 pm at night. If we go to bed early then he is usually ready to roll at 6:30.
My day sounds about as exciting as Mike's,,,although I do not like his # 5 thing to do,,, So sad that it's all over,,,
So guess I'll have to get busy and find another cruise to book.
Doug thanks for the photo again,,,it was a perfect morning for it. It's cold as a well digger here,,,,28F Did I tell you I HATE winter???
My grandson has the flu,,,guess it's that time of year. If they are all well by this weekend I am taking them to see that new movie about a museum that comes alive after dark. Can't remember the name of it. But I've heard it's a good kids movie.
Our work has sure slowed down,,,but it's that time of year,,,waiting on everyone to get their taxes done and get all that $$ back. Then hopefully back to normal.
Everyone have a great humpday,,,and stay warm and safe.
Good Morning cruisemates! A skiff of snow in Calgary this morning, with temps in the 30s F. Not unbearable for winter.
Yesterday was an intresting day, trying to get caught up on almost 3 weeks of mail. Spent a good part of the day returning phone messages, and getting voice mail. Of a dozen, maybe 4 called back. And I'm sure if I'd walked into all their offices, I'b told "they can't see you at the moment, they're on the phone"
Still have some suppliers pretending the business is still open and sending me bills
Called around to a bunch of financial institutions to find out where I could temporarily park some money until accounting issues (paying taxes) are done, and I find a new business. Interest rates at the moment s u c k
So today is more talking to voice mails, and more waiting for them to call back.... and the joy of paying more bills.
Morning from the Pacific Northwest........still cold....still snow on the ground........but at least it IS warming up.......38 for the high today......40's for the rest of the week........I'll take it......
Larry is off to work today........think the roads have thawed out enuff to try & get to where he needs to be.......
Mike....I do like your schedule..........wish mine was as easy........
