OK Kuki, I have a question for you. Would you rather be stuck in the middle of the Atlantic with me or watch me fall off a camel?

Take care,
Mike

Mike.. in spring 07 we could watch you chase sheep in Greece, proposing marriage, and being a camel jockey (or jock strap )

That could get you "over the hump" until spring 2008 to criss cross the Atlantic with us.

Heck they are a full year apart ya know!

Truth be known we'd LOVE to cruise with you and Betty anytime, anywhere!!! (especially Betty )

John..

You're always amongst the first to book!

Nancy told me... but your punishment is that you and Priscilla are going to have me as a neighour again! One other CM also already booked another aft, with another one ready I think.

We're off to a great start. Think 10 cabins booked just yesterday!

Come on kids.. book to join us! The cruise is over 15 months away, and I know the deposit is bit "hefty", but it's FULLY refundable until Jan 08... in case something changes and you can't make it.

Add another two people to the group. I just booked cabin 8454. Betty and I are, in an aft cabin, two decks above the Moose. I always knew I would go up in the world.

Nancy has this row of aft cabins available for others who have the "courage" to be our neighbors.

For those on deck six: Look out below.

Take care,
Mike

Mikey... no way I would trust you two decks above me!! We've moved on up, where I can keep an eye on you. If we're having super soaker battles, it's gonna be face to face

It is nice having the additional aft cabins though. Nancy said Ray and Tweety had also requested them, so she can accomodate them... and still a couple more to fill.

Just 15 or 16 months to go

This one may be too hard for me to pass up. I was planning to do a TA cruise in 2008 to begin with, and the prices (esp with me being a solo cruiser) seem to be great.

I will not be able to book until I get bonus check which will be in March- because of the $500 deposit (which would be the same if I booked on my own), but I will seriously consider doing it.

I won't be able to do AFT, because I have to do an inside cabin, but I do think I may be able to pull this one off.

I know I have threatened to do the cruises in the past, but I was in a position at work that did not allow for me to take that much time off. With my new position, I can and still have 2 weeks of vacation left for the year.

I sure hope I can pull this one off. I had contacted Nancy on the pricing for the Thanksgiving cruise this year, but this one is more appealing to me. I will check budget and see which one works....

Hope that does work out for you Jodi!

The single supplement thing does s u c k!

If they didnt have it you could do both Thanksgiving and the Crossing.

This does already have the makings of a great group! Nancy is busy busy busy taking bookings and feilding calls.

One other thing to note is that the "cruise" air, "From Minneapolis" is just under $1,000. That isn't bad for a open jaw, MSP - MIA, ROM - MSP. I have added it to the booking. I can always change it before final payment if something better comes along.

It is too early to find rates for regular air. The airlines won't have them available until one year before flight time.

Take care,
Mike

On a whim, I e-mailed Jim the details. (He and I fell in love in Italy) He just e-mailed me back, and asked if I had booked yet. Will you guys help me with the Air? The only time we have gone to Europe, the Army sent us, and we had to take the furniture.

Luanne - that would be great if you and Jim can come. But NO furniture. Airlines have luggage limits

Just tell Nancy you're interested in a quote for cruise line air. Often on open jaw flights (flying home from a different place than you departed from) cruise line air is actually a better deal than normal air fares you can find on your own.

We just sent Nancy an email booking both the Thanksgiving and Transatlantic. Now I guess we should check with our bosses. Maybe there is even an aft left????? Need another countdown clock. Looking forward to this one but sure wish the Transatlantic was the other direction with those great sea days at the end. Oh well! Here we go again.

More GOOD NEWS! That's great Linda! It'll be really nice for us to cruise with you two again in Nov. and again in Apr. 08... though maybe not so nice for you to cruise with us

I think more of this gang should book Thanksgiving with us too! It'll be the 2007 warm up cruise for the 08 crossing... since it's on the same ship.

Maybe we'll have to hide stuff on the ship, and have a treasure hunt to find the stuff in April

Okay Kids, I may not be able to leave the ship, with ankles the size of Texas this time, but we have booked the nosebleed cabins up with Mike and Kuki.

We are very happy about our first look at Europe, with so many of our pals.

I wanted go I wanted go I wanted go.
I'm practicing for what to say to my hubby. I read the cruise description and you had me at Funchal, Madeira. My dad came to California from Maderia Island when he was 17 years old. I have relatives all over that island. I would love to see it again. The webcam is down today but here is the site http://www.madeira-web.com/camera/cam-01.html If you go on this cruise and like fish try the Black Espada this is a fish that is only found in the island if you go to Lisbon it's white espada and it's funny to listen to the fight about which fish is better. On our Alaskan cruise our waitress was Portuguese and I asked her which was better she said white espada and I knew she wasn't from the islands. She got a kick out of that.

Betty will be the "unofficial" interpreter for Portugeuse and Spanish. So if anyone wants to haggle over prices she will be available "for a fee". Hey she's easygoing but she isn't cheap.

Take care,
Mike
