I've held my tongue so far, but I cannot any longer!

Don't all you people who picked New Orleans feel silly now?

What can I say.. I'm a Lions fan. Since they aren't going anywhere, I had to go with an "underdog".

WELL IF THE REF'S HAD EYES AND BIG SCREEN TV'S TO VIEW THE CHALLENGES...THE OUTCOME MAY HAVE BEEN DIFFERENT. IN ANY CASE, GOOD LUCK TO BOTH TEAMS, BUT I'M PULLING FOR THE COLTS! NEXT YEAR THE SAINTS WILL BE IN THE BIG GAME!

This is one game I cannot lose, I grew up near Gary, In and have always been a die-hard Bear and Indy fan. But my love is with Da Bears. Being from the region, I love Da Bears and my Cubbies and I cannot forget the Irish. When my oldest was in Iraq, he called ND and talked to Coach Weiss.
I'm not a sore loser, I'm realistic! The Saints will be back next year ...so look out. Maybe we can play on OUR HOME TURF!
GEAUX SAINTS!
From the looks of the playing conditions at Soldier Field last sunday, maybe the bears or are crooked governor can pay for the new astroplay surface to be installed, looks & feels like grass, no mowing or damge when it rains or snows.
I'm thinking a few underprivileged NFL teams will have the luxury of playing in a DOME next playoff season. Save your money, we are going to have a Cruisemates reunion in New Orleans without a cruise! I'm bringing the Saints shirts and jambalaya! I'll even do legwork on other activities!
P.S. Don't you think all playoff games should be played in a Dome? AND why oh why do the Northern teams NOT have a Dome?
Having grown up just outside of Indianapolis, and living here in the Tampa area for 40 years, I have to pull for the Colts. Especially since Coach Dungy was here in Tampa for a few years, and knowing what a great person he is, and how the Bucs gave him the shaft when he left, I'd pull for him and his team regardless. Go Colts!!

No I don't. Teams earn their home field advantage by winning more games in the regular season. If the NFL mandated the playoff games be in a neutral dome or warm climate like they do the Super Bowl, as soon as teams secured a spot in the playoffs, they'd have no further incentive to try and win games. Also, what would that do to the local fan base for a team if they couldn't watch their own football team in the playoffs at home after winning home field advantage with regular season wins?

Yeah, I can understand home field advantage and the fans wanting to watch THEIR team at home....I feel the same way. I was thinking it might be nice if everyone had a domed stadium. 8)
(Oh and here she goes again)
Then everyone would have a hurricane evacuation site!
Football was meant to be played outside, on grass........ and in the snow. There is nothing like Soldier's Field in the middle of winter. The Super Bown should be played at the home site of the team with the best record Hooah 8)
