Westerdam Photos

I was just perusing the photo gallery, when I came across your Westerdam photos.

I enjoyed them very much, which leads me to a question.

One of my favorite cruise movies is "Out To Sea", with Jack Lemmon and Walter Mathau. It was filmed on the Westerdam, but not many of the places on the ship look the same as in your photos.

So my question is, did you visit the pool deck, ballroom, casino, and other places shown in the movie, and do they still look the same? Or perhaps the ship has been remodeled, and those areas have changed?

Maybe it was filmed on the old Westerdam which is now the Costa Europa.

I think you're absolutely right. I did some searching, and I found several exterior photos of the Costa Europa. It is the same ship, with a few modifications.

I didn't have much luck locating interior photos of the ship, but at least we seem to have solved the mystery.

Next movie night, it's "Out To Sea"!
