Default Its Thursday!!!!

Good Morning Everyone!!! Very quiet here at work because most of the staff is sick. That quiet may be shattered very soon as one of our grantees should be getting our letter nixing most of thier plans for their grant. It is a Congressional Earmark (aka Pork Barrel Project) so there will be a lot of screaming, lawyers and Congressional staffers. I can harly wait !

Everyone have a great day!!!!

I thought I'd be the first one up today, but Doug beat me to it!
Still dark here in Montreal, but supposed to be mild and rainy the rest of the day. I'm working a different shift today for a co-worker. I do not like early mornings, but coming home early will be nice for a change!

We've had very mild temperatures (upper 40'sF) and rain, so the snow is going fast. Dull, gray, dirty, and wet though, but spring is on it's way!!

Good moring Doug, RD and cruisemates to follow:

Weather here in Toronto similar to RD's weather. But at least all the snow is gone from my yard. It was so mild out last night I sat out on my porch reading.

The usual busy bee stuff in the office. Can't wait until Friday at 2:30 pm....on vacation for one week. But then the real fun begins NOT . Spring cleaning.

Have a good day everyone.

Good Morning All,

What a grey, yucky day out there. It is going to start cooling off, rain for the morning, then a bit of snow, and perhaps a Nor East'r by the weekend - joy!

Off to work in a bit, just to put the finishing touches on service for Sunday. Have paperwork here, but am experiencing computer problems so that is on hold until dh can try and figure it out.

This afternoon going to a friends for coffee, she has a toddler and it is hard for her to get out.

A niece and her husband were making plans to visit for the weekend, but the impending snowstorm may change their plans.

Doug - your day sounds like fun! NOT!

Hope you all have an enjoyable day.

Mornin' everybody,

It's been a while since I've been on the boards, but I've been real busy here at work. By the time I get to a computer, it's already afternoon, so I don't bother with the morning thread.

We got a lot of rain the last couple of days, so we have some minor flooding in the area. If the rain stays heave, we might have more problems. At least I live on the high ground!

Have a great day!

Ed

Morning All,

Texas got the snot beat out of them again last night! And guess where the storm is headed now......right on over to Louisiana! I hope all our fellow Cruisemates in Texas fared well through the storm. Rain today, but it should clear this afternoon and send us up into the 70's! Weatherguy predicts great weekend weather....I'm pulling out the shorts!

Just got the news yesterday.............more disaster training is on the way (aka hurricane training!). I don't know how much more they expect me to do. I'm already on the team scheduled to evacuate citizens of New Orleans (yep, I gotta go to New Orleans). They promise I will be moved to a safe area before tropical storm force winds reach the coast. I just don't have very much faith in that, because some of our staffers were stranded in the Superdome during Katrina! Maybe it's just me, but I would try to choose staff members that are trained in crowd control or pick the ones with weapons certification....but NOOOOO! they pick a bunch of auditors and clerical staff!

Somebody please tell me how much longer I have to wait to wear my seersucker suits!?! It's gettin hot in here!

Melody

Good morning all. Dreary day here in Massachusetts. Where's the sun?????????

My daughter got her checklist for the things she will need for Ecuador. Among things like hiking boots/sneakers, heavy duty bug spray, mosquito netting, she needs to bring HER OWN TOILET PAPER. Also, according to the list, no flushing of paper is allowed in Ecuador. Makes me wonder, what do they do with it??? None of this however has distracted her from being very excited about going.

Had the funeral yesterday for Aunty Mary. It was very sad but being a close family we all got through it.

Not much else going on. 18 days until my Red Sox start.

Hope everyone has a great and safe day.

Good morning from sunny Jupiter Fl. They say there are rainshowers around, but right now it's beautiful.

We're headed down to the nursing home to see my brother and bring him some lunch. His electric wheelchair is going to have to go into the shop for repairs so he is bed-bound til they get him set up again.

Doug, it's always nice to see those cruise photos.

Have a good one everyone.

Phyll

Default Good Morning!

39 degrees here in Ohio this morning...quite a change from the 72 degrees yesterday! YIKES!

It's house cleaning for me today, memorizing my words for our Easter Musical, and then take my Mom to the Cardiologist...YIPPEE!

Sounds like the rain is everwhere! Try to have a Sunny Day, will ya?

Good morning, Mates!

Yes, Melody, our rain is heading your way and further East. I'm sorry. We had so much rain, I don't know how there could be any water left in those clouds. It has left a gorgeous day in its wake, though. 8) Maybe I will try to get out this afternoon and do a little shopping! YES!

Ed, it is never too late in the day to add to the "Morning Thread."
Doug, love the picture! Brings back such good memories. Sorry your job is so yuck! Hopefully they will run out of steam quickly.

Everyone have a marvelous day!

Good Morning cruisemates! Snowed again in Calgary last night. Temps in the 30s F for today, but some warming again by the weekend.

Back is awhack so didn't venture out at all yesterday. Just sat icing it most of the day. Just hoping I can get it "back" to nornal by next Wed., when we're due to head to Ft. Laud.

I do remember a couple of years "back" when we went on a cruise, with my back in this shape, and I was very limited to doing anything in our ports of call. Spent a lot of time in the jacuzzis, and still had a good time.... but hoping I don't have to do that again this trip.

Default It's Thursday

Good morning from Southern California. It's foggy! When it burns off, it'll be another gorgeous day, tho'. Surely do wish you could send us some of that rain.

I think Keith plans to go to Riverside one last time today. I plan to do a small load of ironing and then take myself to lunch and shopping.

Enjoy yourselves, people.

Judy

Actually I love locking horns with them, this grant has been an issue for almost two years and we have them dead to rights on several potential violations of Federal law. Bring it on!!!!
