Default Has anyone ever seen someone use or brought

a clamp-on beach chair umbrella to use on the Dolphin cabin balconies on Princess ships? We just bumped up to a mini-suite and have never had an open balcony but need some shade. There are a few styles I'm looking into. One is a PortaBella and it comes with sandbags and ropes for anchoring. They all fold up to be only 30" long which can easily fit in a suitcase. We could also use it on our beach excursions. Anyone?

(I posted this ? on Princess also just in case)

I would think clamping it to the balconey could pose a safety hazard. A strong wind could blow it off and into a balconey below injuring someone. I have seen the type you clamp onto chairs. Since they sit low, well below the plastic barrier that might be a better option.

Susan,
I was asking about using the beach chair clamp ons and of course I wouldn't use it if the weather didn't warrant it or leave it unattended. I mentioned using one on the Dolphin deck because these are the only exposed balconies so if it fell off it would land in the ocean.
