Default Glad I filled up

Yesterday, gasoline was 98.4 cents a liter here. Luckily, the stations do not raise prices simultaneously, and I caught one jacking it up 15 percent.
I got my car filled at the lower price.

the new price today is $1.14 a liter or $4.32 a gallon CDN

Convert to US Dollars and you get roughly $4.96 a gallon.

Do your prices swing 15% overnight?

Our only swing 15% instantly in ONE direction, though. It will take two weeks to settle in the other direction, if it happens. No collusion there. No sir.

I haven't seen them swing quite that drastically, but there is only one reason for such swing..... Corporate GREED! That was confirmed by my DH, who works for a major oil company. Of course he is a grunt, but sees enough to know!

I saw a report on a gas station that changed their prices ....incorrectly. The gas should have been $2.90 a gallon...it was sold at 29 cents a gallon! People were lined up to get gas. He thought he was having a great day...until the reporter showed him the problem. He shut the pumps down immediately! The report said he lost about $17,000.00 in that period of time.

Gas is $3.33/gal here in CA. Yeah, yeah, I know. It's worse in Canada, but still . . . gas is $3.33/gal in CA.

Hi!
May I take a moment to correct you on the gas price:
1 liter =4.54 gallon CDN =5.l7$
1 liter=3.80 gallon US =4.33US that means $5.10 US
the exchange rate today is l.l795%
If I am wrong please let me know. Mateli

Thanks Mateli but "roughly" in English means approximately.

I was only off by 3 percent (I used 1.15 to the USD). Sue me.

Yup...there are some places in Northern California that are slightly HIGHER!

You know, we used to jump in the car and just take a nice drive...or on a long weekend take a quick trip to Southern California and visit family and friends...welllllllllll.......not anymore.

We don't just jump in the car and drive anywhere unless we have a plan of action...If we're going to the mall...we plan a stop at the cleaners or grocery store...

Maybe we should have been doing this all along...but we think about how we're blowing our gas money a lot more now!

In our area (Florida panhandle) when I filled up yesterday at a BP station all the stations were 2.65 per gallon. This morning our Citgo stations were 2.65, but all the other stations were 2.75. It seems to change every day. I drive about 50 miles round trip each day. Luckily my car gets good milage and I don't have to fill up but about every 5 or 6 days.

Cynic,

Of course pepperoni is derived from petroleum.

It powered the plant that powered the processing company that processed the pepperoni.

Going to check the mailbox for my slice of the pizza........... 8)
