Default Best cruise/cruise line for a wedding?

I have no idea where to start. I'd like to still have a fantastic wedding, even on the ship (I've seen some horror stories about horrible cakes, plans changing, etc). Wedding of my dreams, but on a ship! Been saving a while and have lots of family support, so I am willing to pay to make it wonderful, but like to have as many guests attend as possible, so a Cunard cruise probably isn't the best idea.
Any suggestions would be great, thank you!

Forgot to mention, I've really been considering Disney, I've always thought a Disneyland wedding would be fantastic, but really worried about the number of children under 12-13 onboard. My grandmother is old and done with having kids around, and I want to keep her happy! Is Disney just not a good idea, or if we do it during a time when most kids are in school will be be safe?

Congratulations on your up coming wedding.

We renewed our vows on the Star Princess and it couldn't have been better. They chapel was beautiful, all the candles were lit up the aisle, I got a beautiful bouquet and DH a nice boutinaire. The pictures were just ok, a little over exposed but still nice.

Most of the weddings we have seen were done on the ship before we sailed so not all the guest cruised with the newlyweds. I asked one new bride who we were waiting to board with how it went and she said it was beyond her dreams.

If you do a Disney, would it be like a Cinderella theme? There is a thread under Practical Advice titled Wedding Plans on Ships that might get you more response.

Remember, if you plan it for port, things can go wrong and that port could be changed at any time, especially tendered in ports. We have heard of many times before.

Best wishes and have fun planning.

I have not planned a cruise ship wedding so there isn't to much advice I could give. However Princess cruises has a wedding cam for thier ships here is the link http://www.princess.com/bridgecams/c...dding_cam.html
The good thing about that is even if they can't attend the wedding they may still watch on line. Hope that helps.
