When I was 14, early 60's, I went to Montreal, with my girlfriend and her parents. They had been told about Moishes, and were under the impression it was like a Jack & Marions, an upscale deli, that we used to have in Boston.

Well, when we walked in we saw waiters, with white gloves, I was mortified. I didn't think I was dressed properly for this"DELI"
Is it still as upscale now? I don't remember it being a steakhouse...but I had my head in the menu, with a red face I am sure!

Best ribs I EVER had, are at Houstons Restaurant. We have one in Boston, but it's easier for me to get to Fll

Best clams, Franks, Brockton, Ma, French fries, Powers, Wollaston Beach

I am surprised 2nd Ave Deli is closed. They used to do a big mail order
business.

Edited to add: the BEST EVER SHRIMP! Catfish Deweys, in Ft Lauderdale!

It closed over a lease dispute. If you are familiar, the original owner was murdered and his successors decided it was not worth the hassle.

Trip, the place has not changed. And there would be a riot if it did. The coat-check guy remembers your coat, and your name, no ticket required. There is still a dress code, jacket and tie.

Isn't there any good food in Texas? At the very least, we have to have the best barbecue, the best chili and the best Mexican food (Tex-Mex variety).

We are also bound to have the prettiest servers ( could include guys
), biggest steaks, fastest fast food, best margaritas, biggest shrimp,
hottest salsa, coldest beer, ugliest cowboys and fattest people.

This thread should come with a WARNING; do not read right before going to sleep - I dreamt about food all through the night; had to get up and have some milk and cookies to chase the foodie dreams away; only to dream about more food!!!!!!

I thought this thread was about the best of the best entrees that we have ever eaten on a cruise ship?

but the best food I have ever eaten anywhere is in New Orleans regardless of the entree with one exception..the best Mexican food I have ever ate is in Fargo North Dakota cooked by a man from Kenya who had attended North Dakota State, fell in love with a college friend from Minnesota and married her and decided to stay put and open a Mexican dining place (only in America does this happen)
