Last night I answered the phone to find Patty's Public Guardian there. He had been to Patty's ISP meeting (They plan her goals for the next year). While there he heard that I was leaving NH to move to Florida. He called to wish me good luck and happiness in my new life. He also told me that he would be more than happy to supply a reference for any Human Services position I apply for. During my battle to keep Patty in my care he had been my support and my friend. I asked him if Patty could come to visit me in Florida. He said if we could work out a way to get her there safely then of course she could. Patty has been the hardest part of my leaving. It only makes it easier to move on knowing she has such a loving and dedicated team taking care of her.
