Default Orlando Vanilla

I ran out of my Orlando Vanilla shortly before my cruise. I needed some more and planned to get some when I returned to Cozumel. Unfortunately, I couldn't remember the name of the store and I only remembered what the store looked like before Ivan. Luck prevailed and I wandered into Los Cinco Soles. It was different, but felt like the same store before Ivan. They didn't have Orlando Vanilla. They had "their" brand of vanilla called "Los Cinco Soles Vanilla". They let me smell it and it smelled a LOT like Orlando, so I bought two big bottles. When I got home, I emailed the Orlando Vanilla company and explained my situation and how I wanted some Orlando Vanilla. This is their response.

Quote:
Hello;

Sorry you didn't find Orlando vanilla in Los Cinco Soles. Actually the vanilla Cinco Soles is Our vanilla labeled especially for them and is the Orlando formula with their label.
We do have Orlando vanilla in our company warehouse located in Washington State. We have only the large sizes in stock. Customer is responsible for postage within the US which is minimal.

Gallon $55.00
Liter $15.00
Pint $ 9.00
Premium organic vanilla beans $1.25 each

You can contact or order from this email address. orlandoyk@msn.com

Thank you,
Maria Teresa Ramos Segura de Goodrich
CEO Productos Orlando
So now we know.....Los Cinco Soles Vanilla is Orlando Vanilla AND I paid the same price for my liters! Also, don't walk ALL THE WAY down the strip like I did.....there is a Los Cinco Soles across the street from the pier. I spied it when the taxi brought me back from my long trek! I had t-shirts, 12 mexican blankets and vanilla. There was no way I could walk back to the ship carrying all of that! So imagine how I felt when I looked up and saw a Los Cinco Soles sign :o

That is too funny!! I looked at the vanilla too in Mazatlan and it was $8.00 for the pint. I wish I bought it now. Pure vanilla is expensive in the stores here.
