Default Mysteries Set on Cruise Ships

Nancy, Judy & anyone else interested, here is a short list of some good mysteries.

Princess Charming / Jane Heller
Cruising for Murder /Susan Sussman
Going Overboard /Christina Skye
Cruise Ship Doctor/ Gerry Yukevich

A new one coming out in Dec, called Killer Knots, by Nancy B Cohen, will continue her series of a hairstylist sleuth, Marla Shore. This series, set in Sofla, is one of my favorites. I loved them all! These are all great books to read while laying around the pool onboard.

Happy Reading

I will need to check out the hairstylist sleuth sounds good. I need something to read before the next Harry Potter comes out.

Default Mysteries Set on Cruise Ships

Hi, Trip! Thanks for the thread! As I told you on Chat, I'm now reading a book by Carolyn Hart called Set Sail for Murder.

I have read many of her books. She hasn't paid too much attention to the O'Henry series, which this is.

I just finished a book by Mary Higgins Clark and Carol Higgins Clark called Santa Cruise. A mystery on board a cruise out of Miami. An easy read.

Teresa, I read that, too. A fun, short read.

Thank you for the great reading suggestions. I too need something to read until the new Harry Potter book comes out. I took a Stephen King book with me on one cruise. I got a few strange looks, I guess because he is somewhat of a "creepy" writer. Not to me though, I think he has a wonderful imagination.

Thanks again

Trip,

Thanks for the list. I've read Princess Charming and will have to look for the others. Also will be looking for Set Sail For Murder.
Read Santa Cruise and loved it.

While not a cruise but set on a ship "The Bishop at Sea" by Andrew M Greely was good. It is one of his series about Father Blacky.

I ordered 3 of 4 of the books Trip mentioned. I have a website that I can order used books for like .75 each, plus shipping. I'm always reading. I'm ready some of the Stephanie Plum series books now. They are so funny.

Another good mystery writer, although, not set on ships, is Elaine Viets
One series is called the dead end job series..set in Fla, and fabulous characters. her other is a woman, who is a mystery shopper. All good and easy to get into.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Rita Lakin has set her zany cast of elderly sleuths in a condo in a fictional town, near Lauderdale...Wonderful, I got them all and just finished her latest.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Nora Charles, also is a senior sleuth, living in a condo in Sofla, who gets into lots of troubles, I also just finished her new one.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Laurence Shames, sets his books, in Key West, with a rioutous cast of characters, The tropical setting and assorted odd balls, makes for fun reading!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
All these books,make perfect beach reads. Nothing too heavy, keeps you wanting more!!!!

I'd like to add my novels to the list. Cruise crime murder mystery stories, Currents Deep and Deadly and Currents of Vengeance. These are the first two novels in the Darcy Farthing adventure series. They are set on a cruise around Cape Horn as well as many on land locations. Novel #5 in the series will be set on a cruise in the South Pacific. When I talk with readers at my on-board book signings, many comment that they like these stories very much.

This was so funny. I didn't read the date, and wondered why everyone was talking about the new Harry Potter.
