Yes Folks We're Heading To Brasil and Sailing on the Azamara Journey.
Betty and I bit the bullet and booked the Azamara Journey's November 29, 2007 sailing from Sao Paulo to Buenos Aires, Montevideo, Itajai, Brasil, Angra Dos Reis, and Rio de Janeiro.
The ship's are Betty's favorite size and I am looking forward to see what Celebrity/Azamara has done with the $15 million refurbishment.
Most of all I'm looking forward to the ports and the beauty of Southern Brasil, Uruguay and Buenos Aires.
It's gonna be fun!!!!!

Actually the price for a twelve day cruise, balcony cabin and $600 airfare from Minneapolis was far less than any European cruise you could take and less than most Southern Caribbean cruises.

Lucky Dog Pretty soon you will see this. My Avo has a plate of her as a young girl (she is 93 years old now) standing in front of Sugar Loaf Mountain and I have always wanted to see it. Have a great time. Will you visit any relatives?

I'll be eating my fill of feijoada (Brasilian National Dish: black beans, rice, linquica, ham and spices) Good stuff! I also found out from my SIL that Itajai has a great fish market, so there may be some tasty treats to be had in that area.
I doubt I'll be eating any bugs, or "digging for dinner" on this trip.

Nice itinerary--that may be one of our next runs. We love the R-class ships too. Will be anxious to hear reports on how well Celebrity has refitted them and how the new brand operates.
