Default A Summer Time Refresher:) So I Hear!

I never heard of this, but I want to try it..have you ever heard of a beverage called a shandy?

Seems you can mix 1/2 beer and lemonade, or like 1/2 beer and sprite.
All you shandy lovers do you have a recomendation on the how to's and brands? A google search showed an import from Barbados called a Twister. Gotta love any Caribbean connection:)

Have I been under a rock? Can you tell how much I drink!:):)

Trip, with her book & tea!

They've been around forever. They're vile, IMO.

But not as vile as a drink a young lady who's an officemate of my son's told me about the other week. I've blocked out the name, but you start with a half glass of Guinness and add a shot of Bailey's and a shot of Irish whisky. She claims it's her fave. She asked me if I wanted to go downstairs to the bar with her and try one. I declined.

Yes, we've known Shandys here as long as I can remember. Friends used to try to get me to try one, because I don't like beer. But even a beer mixed with 7-up or lemonade, still tastes like a beer to me!

Why on earth would you want to ruin the flavor of a perfectly good beer?

Good people sleep peaceably in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf.

Courage and perserverance have a magical talisman; before which difficulties disappear and obstacles vanish into the air.

Pick your company wisely! Hang around people who are going to help you become all God created you to be.

My husband mixes beer with V8 or tomato juice. To me that is just nasty, so I also will decline the lemonade mixture. When my son went to Germany he had a drink that was half beer and half coke or something - also nothing I would like to try.

you can take that a step further and make the best Margarita's you ever had (Ready2gonow has already tried them out); you take Corona Beer; frozen lemonade and some Tequila; use the beer to thaw out hte frozen lemonade and add Tequila to your liking; very very good.
