Good morning all. It's 5:00 a.m. here and I can't sleep so I come to the computer to get educated! I'm waiting to hear from my departed friend's family when the funeral will be so I can travel to Knoxville for the services.
Regards,
Thomas

Good Morning!!! Going to be a rainy Monday here in Philly. Here at work to rest up from hauling gravel in an attempt to landscape my backyard, AKA the wilderness.
Hope everyone has a great day!!!!

Good morning all. It's a beautiful day here in WI.
I've got me a new computer, and I'm having fun getting used to it. :-)
I'm looking forward to meeting up with SusanCruz for breakfast as she is coming up this way. It'll be fun to catch up and hear about her new plans and her cruise adventures.
Another overcast day on the agenda for us here on the coast of Va.
Geezz I hate Mondays. One of my guys called in sick,,,another fell on a dock fishing yesterday and hurt his ribs. He's coming in to work,,,but will be useless as he won't be able to lift anything. Geezzzz louise,,, gotta love it.
Doug love the pix of the Phlamingo,,,I have my own phlock @ the Rivah. Although they are phlastic.
Thomas so sorry to hear of your dear friend's passing. Have a safe trip to Tennessee.
Morning All, from another beautiful day in Montreal. High around 26C (78F) today, and beautiful sunshine. 8)
Well I did it, I finished Harry Potter last night at 11pm after reading almost the entire weekend. All I will say is WOW! and I'm sorry that the saga is ended - it was most enjoyable!
It's off to work today, more of the parks, wading pools, and fun summer stuff!
Doug, love the flamingo pic!
Phyll, say hi to Susie from me!
Carole, I know someone in Taos. Have you heard of singer/songwriter Don Conoscenti?
I finished the weekend job at 7 PM last night and headed home to help DD with yet ANOTHER college paper! We reached a stopping point at 10:00 PM so I dove in the bed. Up at 4:30 and at work by 6:30AM. It's a beautiful day in Louisiana! I'll be working and training the new employees, so it will be fun! I hope all of you have a wonderful day!

Back at work after a wonderful weekend spent on the motorcycle. We rode all along Lake Erie and it was beautiful. Stopped in at a couple of wineries right on the water.
Good morning Southern California. Miracle of miracles! It rained! It's the monsoon season (rains coming up from Mexico).
Phyll, a new computer? Lucky you!
Doug, I like that pic, too.
Carole, have fun in NM. Taos is beautiful.
RD, I haven't read any of the Harry Potter books. Lots to look forward to!
Angela, taking a while to get back into the rut?
My rut includes a large pile of laundry waiting to be sorted.
It was a semi-powerless night. The power went out about 1:30 a.m. At 3:30 a.m. the low fuel alarm went off on the generator. It's time to call the Cenex truck out. I guess I'll go and see how much I can get for a kidney, in order to pay for it.
Kuki: I feel for your skunk problem, plus Sammy. I don't know what you used but:
3 cups of Hydrogen peroxide (standard 98% stuff you get in the grocery store)
1/3 cup baking soda
A couple blobs of dishwashing soap or Dawn.
I use the "eyeball" method to measure.
Mix it in a gallon of water and wash the puppy in the shower. Watch his eyes. Kramer had skunky nose for a couple of days because I was worried about his eyes. Work it in GOOD before rinsing.
Also: If you want to borrow my shotgun I'll be happy to loan it to you.
Take care,
Mike

I also used to use the tomato juice method for skunk but found that peroxide, baking soda, soap method worked better.
It is still hard to get the smell out of the house if any of the "residue" rubs off on the carpets or are on the dog's pads. The same solution can be used, in small amounts, on carpet but first use a test area to make sure you don't pull out the color.
There is a product called: "DeSkunk" that works but it's basically the same stuff.
Take care,
Mike

Mike I see your point,,,and must say that after 2ed thought the tomato juice could be put to better use by mixing with a little vodka/tobasco and bloody mary mix,,,then after a couple of those who cares if the smell isn't completely gone,,,
