James, sounds like a great cruise. I haven't parasailed in years! Actually, the last time was in 1973! Back then they had you start from the beach. The workers would hold the parachute (the old-fashioned round ones) open, until the wind filled it and the boat would start moving away from the beach. You had to run a few steps, until the parachute started up, up, up! Coming back to the beach the boat would turn and let the wind carry you back over the beach, where you had to pull the strap attached to the "flap" to let the air out of the chute. The way it is done today is painless! I'm thinking I want to try it again on our next cruise!

Good morning everyone
James, sounds like you had a great cruise. Welcome back.

Wishbone, what happened to the Lions ? I'm still picking them this weekend to upset the Bears.

James - I am impressed parasailing - wow - I am CHICKEN and won't do it. So Joyce emptied the wallet in Cozumel - very easy to do there.

I suppose the people that fell on the ship didn't have a drop to drink

I have been on a smaller boat in worse weather than you guys had; we were caught in the squalls from two hurricanes and can tell you the only people I saw fall were on "bar stools" -

Darlene - the old way just doesn't sound like much fun... I can see myself getting tangled up in the chute - again, it would be an "I Love Lucy" episode

Did you hear about John Force? I better go dust off the autographs, cause I don't seem him coming back to racing; they have had some rotten terrible times this year

we have a slowwwwww week a work which is kinda nice - so if the weather cooperates - it looks doubtful today -- I may get a game of golf in every day this week! so hopeful I am wearing "golf clothes" to work every day this week - I think I got bit by the golf bug and it won' t let go!

Hey, Bobby YO! How are you going to spend your day? I still have a list of "honey-do's" if you want to come to Texas!

James, what kind of bling did Joyce buy? Don would rather take a beating than go shopping with me! It's a good thing that the shop owners have free alcohol for the husbands or I would never get him in the jewelry shops with me!

Carl wins again. cool
Yes, I watched the drags and saw the accident. Haven't seen any updates on Force today. They said last night broken leg or legs, wrist and bad cut on one knee. He'll be back.

Darlene, just goofing around today. Recouping from all the football. May clean my carpet though.
Had a party for my mom Sat was her 90th. She really enjoyed it. Then had to go to a wedding and take pictures.

Martha,
Good morning,
Will has a beautiful place to live.Looks alot like the area we live in,except our area is very hilly, and rocky!
Our cruise was really nice.Progreso surprised me. We read where there just wasn't much to do there, but found it to be for us a good place to visit.( Great price on cigars!) We rented a jeep and just drove all over the area.Stopped at 3 different beaches, snorkeled alittle, and sunbathed some.Did go parasailing, quite a thrill for an old man!
We spent 2 days in New Orleans, visited with some of the people we met when we did some volunteer work there right after Katrina.New Orleans has made alot of progress, with alot left to do.
We went on a Vampire tour with Melody on Saturday night, iteresting to say the least! Had a ball!!
(dina,We ate at Baccos again, food is still GREAT!)
The Fantasy is a good ship to cruise on,altho I will say it seemed like the food in the casual dinning areas improved since we sailed in Feb. The dinning room this time was hit or miss.
My favorite hangout became the Majestic Lounge where I could sit and smoke my cigars. Spent some time in the casino, didn't win or lose, broke even,so I guess that means I won in a way!
At Cozumel,we did about the same thing, altho Joyce did get me in the downtown area to visit the shops. She was in her world there and I just tagged along, sying yes dear, buy what you want! ( and she did)
On Friday, coming back to New Orleans we were caught in a tropical depression and the Captain had the Fantasy going at good speed to outrun the storm ,which he did! Joyce and I did just fine, but several people became seasick, and some claimed they injured due to falling caused by the rough ride. All in all,Joyce and I had a very nice cruise!
OK.. I'm jealous. You ate at Baccos again. My mouth is drooling right now at the thought. HAHAHA

ready,
I think the question should be,what didn't she buy? Loose gems. 2 carpets, all kind of trinkets for the grandchildren, and children!
The parasailing was a blast, gonna do it every chance I get.It was a Birthday gift,I turned 66 on Sept.18th while on the cruise!

dina,
I didn't pay any attention when we ate at Baccos the first time, but now it's called Ron Berringers Baccos,or something like that!
Best steak and seafood around,at least it is for me.

Walter,
You have a beautiful place!

Bobby,
You getting any rain yet? It rained hard coming up 55 Saturday!

Walter, I get encouraged when I see the colors change. Our summers seem to last forever! I like the cooler temps.... they make me frisky!

bj... yes thats my yard and with way too much color for this soon

James... sounds like you guys had a wonderful time!

well i wish you the best with that, but it never works like that for me. look at it like this, picture yourself trying to work with two guys pulling your legs in different directions in hopes to get the lucky half. now how much harder would that be???
