If you want to get in major league trouble with the local government, just let them catch you messing with, cutting, or trying to remove a Sea Oat and you will have a a big fine or even jail if you were very maliscious.

Those things are protected like gold at FT Knox.

Yes indeed! Don't touch, move or otherwise disturb sea oats! They make great backdrops for photos, don't you think?

Thanks for the great photo! I went to Isle of the Palms in my 20's, saw the ocean for the first time and absolutely loved those sea oats! :-)

The evening I took this picture I also took about 20 other ones. This one has turned out to be my favorite. I put it on my computer at work for my desktop. It's just a very relaxing photo. Thank you all for the comments. Photos from that evening are in the personal gallery.

Melody, Since you will be here after Labor Day you should not have the crowds that we have now. The evening we went to take these photos there were hundred of people on the beach, 2 weddings, 1 family photography session, just crowded. It's beautiful out there, I wish I lived a little closer. Enjoy your trip.
