This is actually just one of my wacky high school fiends - he is also a high school teacher, and a Norwegian himself.

Paul, you do know that NCL is actually owned by Star Cruises which is a Malaysian company, not Norwegian.

It is just a joke, folks!!!!

Seriously, there are a lot of Norwegians in the Cruise Industry, like Kloster, who start NCL in the 70s and Royal Viking in the 80s, and his son who came up with the World of Resendensea. Others Norwegians started Royal Caribbean (and still own a substantial amount), including their CEO Richard FAin, and Tors Hagen from Viking River Cruises.

They are great people, all with a great sense of humor, even about their heritage, so it is not meant to be offensive. If you think it is, ask you doctor to check for the laugh gene.

It was my understanding that Star Ferries (who changed the name to Star Cruises) of Hong Kong (China) bought NCL a number of years ago ... nothing to do with Malaysia??? Am I mistaken???
