After eight hours in business class Frankfurt to JFK, a ten hour layover which included a wonderful trip into Manhattan for dinner with friends, and a fourteen hour trip in coach, we have arrived in Seoul. We still have a five hour layover here before our coach flight back to Tokyo. Although coach on Korean Air is comfortable and has good IFE, I don't recommend this routing. Between when we left the hotel in Mainz Germany and when we get to our apartment in Tokyo, approximately 45 hours will have passed.
I hope to see everyone in chat sometime this week.
Glad to hear that you're almost "home". The lovely Mrs. Jones (Vita) and I really enjoyed our brief time with Arlene. Take care of each other, and rest up when you return to Tokyo. We look forward to "talking" to you later.
Wow, Marc, suddenly I feel better about our drive from Orlando to Jacksonville to pick up daughter and her boyfriend, then over to Tallahassee for the FSU/UAB game, back to Jax and back to Orlando trip yesterday!
Nice to hear from you.
Frankfurt airport was fine UNTIL we got to secondary screening at the gate. It was ridiculous to have a more strenuous security check (I hate being asked to put my wallet and my money on the belt for all to steal) at a secondary screening point versus the first screen.
Otherwise, the airport was fine for both arriving (took forever to get luggage) and departing.
