Remember that green tree with the few yellow leaves, then full of yellow leaves? Well now it is bare, nothing left:
So, with little to look at out my window, I went out to a local nature park today to walk the dog and enjoy the lovely weather, and took some pictures for all you CruiseMates who are deprived of Fall Foliage. Here is just a sample, the rest you can find in the Personal Photo Gallery under Fall Foliage.
Thanks, Donna! Our weather has been so strange here in Arkansas this fall that the leaves are dropping off my trees without changing color. We've had enough rain for them to turn, but not enough cool weather. Love seeing ya'lls lovely foliage.
I hope the leaf peepers, around, went father north, to your area, Rd, because around here, it's not been a banner year. Sporadic area of great color, but on the whole, in this area, it has missed the mark:(
Trip, with her book & tea!

Thanks for posting Donna. No matter where I live in this world there is nothing as beautiful as fall in the New England/Canada
“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.“
I have quite a few leaves to spare. Thought by this time that they would be down and raked. Not. Still on the trees but it is gorgeous. Kids are loving it as it's their first time experiencing "Fall"
I'm about 75 miles north of NYC. We are in full bloom here.
This is going to be a make or break weekend for many of the local farms. They get a lot of their money from leaf people. Hay rides, and cider by the glass to bus loads of tourists and NYC people are a big part of their cash. If it rains the next two weekends they are in trouble.
