Default La Quinta Inns

Has anyone patronized this chain? We are considering them for our pre-cruise stay in January. They come in at considerably less than the "big guys"... and one has a Tony Roma's nearby, so bonus.

The reviews on Travelocity are generally favourable.

I did not stay in the one in Miami, however I have stayed in quite a few and have found them to be clean, comfortable and quite adequate. Nothing fancy but good quality.

Like Doug, I have not stayed in the Miami LaQuinta but have stayed in quite a few of the chains hotels. I also have found them to be clean, comfortable and convenient. The staf has always been friendly and helpful. Also, the breakfast is quite good.

I haven't stayed in a LaQuinta Inn, but my supervisor stays there for all of her family trips. She has been in many of them and has been satisfied. It is basic accommodations, no luxury beds, towels or sheets, but it's clean and comfortable. The only thing that concerns me is they allow pets.

Thanks! We are not the kind of people to write head office demanding a full refund if our Godiva pillow chocolates are stale.

It should be fine, so long as it's not a "roach motel"...

Last time I stayed at that LaQuinta Inn I had to share it with three rats. Now they were nice rats, but they had a different idea than I of when the lights were to be off. They thought it was romp time when the lights were off. I, on the other hand, thought is was bed time.

I encouraged them to leave the room but they had their mind set on staying, under the night stand. When I put a trail of cracker crumbs to the door they did not take the bait. I think they were educated rats.

Just kidding,

Regards,
Thomas

Hi Cynic,
There are two La Quinta near the Miami Airport. La Quinta North
http://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Rev...i_Florida.html
and La Quinta East
http://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Rev...i_Florida.html
These links are to Tripadvisor it has traveler reviews and candid traveler photos I have never stayed in Miami before but for my cruise that leaves out of Miami in April 08 I chose the Holiday Inn Port of Miami because it had a lot of good reviews and you can see the cruise ships from the hotel. Hope that helps.
