I did not stay in the one in Miami, however I have stayed in quite a few and have found them to be clean, comfortable and quite adequate. Nothing fancy but good quality.

Like Doug, I have not stayed in the Miami LaQuinta but have stayed in quite a few of the chains hotels. I also have found them to be clean, comfortable and convenient. The staf has always been friendly and helpful. Also, the breakfast is quite good.
I haven't stayed in a LaQuinta Inn, but my supervisor stays there for all of her family trips. She has been in many of them and has been satisfied. It is basic accommodations, no luxury beds, towels or sheets, but it's clean and comfortable. The only thing that concerns me is they allow pets.
If you are going to walk on thin ice, you may as well dance!
Last time I stayed at that LaQuinta Inn I had to share it with three rats. Now they were nice rats, but they had a different idea than I of when the lights were to be off. They thought it was romp time when the lights were off. I, on the other hand, thought is was bed time.
I encouraged them to leave the room but they had their mind set on staying, under the night stand. When I put a trail of cracker crumbs to the door they did not take the bait. I think they were educated rats.
Book me on your next cruise and enjoy your personal punching bag.
