Default Monday Morning, Boston Red Sox Fans!

Hi Kids,
Well we did it again, Boston will be jumping for weeks! My son, who works for a newspaper, had to stay till the games were over to go to print. He is thrilled for both the win, and he can now get back to normal hours!

Make it a good day..New England will! Colorado, maybe next year!

PS..30,000 people, who bought furniture at a local furniture store in the spring, during a Red Sox promotion, will now get it ALL free, thanks to Lloyds of London!

Trip, with her book & tea!

just curious Trip>

was the promotion dependant upon a series win, or a series sweep?

Just 1 month to go until the "Cruise Cynic Mystery Cruise" ... January 2008

Go Sox....
Fell asleep but woke up to the roar so knew that the Sox had won. I think the furniture deal was dependent on just the win, not even a sweep. This furniture store has been known for awesome marketing ideas. They appeal to all of us babyboomers. I remember quite a few years ago when Starbucks first came east that they teamed up with them and offered coffee while you shopped. We still have furniture that was bought there over 20 years ago. Ah yes, it'sa great day here in Mass. even if it is Mon.

My heart is still in Massachusetts, No matter where I hang my hat in this world Melrose will always be home. I am so happy for the "hometown team" today. Good Going Boston Red Sox.

Can you say "BOSTON RED SOX 2007 WORLD CHAMPIONS". What a great game. At least the Rockies made it exciting. I've already been to Dick's Sporting Goods to get all my hats, shirts and sweatshirts. I'm so happy that Mike Lowell was the MVP. He is amazing. They better resign him as he is now a free agent.

Mike "MVP" Lowell

Don't think I'll get too much done at work today since I'm working on no sleep. Good news is, it's for a great reason. Bad news is, my boss is a  YANKEES  fan. Oh well, she had her years, now it's our turn.

Hope everyone has a great and safe day.

Morning All, from Montreal, where the thermometer has hit the minuses (-) for the first time! It's only -1, with windchill at -5 (30 and 23F respectively), but that's a big drop from the lovely weather we have experienced this month! Looks like snowsuits under the Halloween costumes this week!

Congratulations to the Boston Red Sox and all their fans. I heard DH watching the game last night while I was working on a jigsaw.

I am starting this new work week with NO PAIN!! Hurray! Tailbone is much improved, and the weird chest pain has subsided, and only hurts if I put pressure on my right arm, so I will take it easy for a while longer - and no more painting for awhile!

Mike, I'll be thinking of you this week, hope everything goes fine with your surgical procedures, and you're back in chat ASAP!!

Good morning from Central Texas where it is cool, but sunny, so it should warm up into the upper 70's later.

Congratulations to the Soxs and their fans.

I sure hope this week will be better than last. I could not even make it up, with all the craziness.

We have a few lovelies at school this year, who have worked very hard to be as disruptive as they can. One threw a chair at a teacher, and missed, but caused us to rethink our emergency plans for the school. We feel like we are all walking on the edge of a cliff, and just waiting to fall. Our school for disruptive students is already full, so we have to keep these students in our classrooms, and hope for the best. One student has so many problems, we are not allowed to make him do the work, or are we to give him any kind of detention, because it "might set him off"

Wednesday we discovered that we have two cases of the super bug that you have been hearing about in the news. Both students are doing well, but it did cause a number of parents to panic.

Thursday I had only been to work about 45 minutes when I was called to the office. Someone had hit my car in the parking lot, and then had left without telling anyone. His biggest problem was that 25 students saw it happen, and went running to the principal. It was a parent of one of the students, so he was easily looked up on the school records. The police went out to the house, and he said he didn't realize he had hit my car. In order to hit me, he jumped a curb, went over the sidewalk, and hit me head on. I am waiting to see today, what the damage will be, and if they will total it. He was not very nice to the police, so they have worked out a plan, so that he is to have no contact with me, and even his insurance company is not allowed to call. This is good, because I have a great insurance company who is handling everything for me.

Today, I have tons of running around to do, and if fact just waiting for everything to open up.

Everyone have a good day.

Mike, I am also thinking of you, and hoping for the best.

Default Monday Morning, Boston Red Sox Fans

Good morning from a dreary Southern California. There are five fires under various degrees of control, only one called arson.

We awoke this morning to thunder. No, not rain. It's the roofers. Such a commotion! At least a half dozen of 'em up there, Keith says.

Donna, I'm glad to hear you're feeling better. Best cool it for a while.
Mike, I'm thinking about ya, too.
Luanne, I hope you have a better week.

Gym day for Keith (if he can tear himself away, that is!). I face a huge
pile of ironing. Will be doing that most of the week.

Have a good day, everybody.

Good Morning cruisemates from a saddened National League fan. But have to offer congratulations to the Red Sox team that did a great job.

Temps in the 50s F with lots of sunshine for Calgary. Decent weather for this time of year, that's for sure.

Dropping my car off at the garage this afternoon to have the winter tires put on, so guess that means I'm accepting the inevitable move on the calendar.

Also waiting for a call to set up a meeting with the owner of another business I've been looking at. It's really not easy deciding what I should do when I grow up.

Morning all,,

Or should I say good afternoon,,,,it's a gorgeous day here on the east coast of Va. But wow has it turned cold. We had frost warnings last night. But it's in the 50's today.

Congrats to all the Red Sox fans on the sweep,,,way to go.

Donna glad your feeling better,,,,take a break from all that painting. We are getting ready to do some here,,,but I HATE to paint so have hired it done.

Mike good thoughts coming your way today.

Good afternoon, Mates!

I started my day at the dentist office. The dentist must think I'm a princess, because he said I need a crown! I have been stalling for almost 2 years, so I guess it is time.

RD, I'm glad you're feeling better. Continue taking it easy and remember when you think you're "Superwoman" your body is going to remind you that you're not!
Mike, You're in my prayers.
Luanne, I would be considering retirement! Wow!
