Anniversary

November 4, 1942. On that day I was sworn in to the US ARMY. Gosh that was a long time ago. Stayed in the Army til it became the US AIR FORCE IN 1947. And remained til 1966. Yes 65 years ago I did it and was never sorry for what I did.

From one veteran (Canadian AF and Army) to another, happy anniversary Ray. You left the Service in '66, same year I joined. This time next week will be Remberance Day (Nov 11), a time to think of all the veterans, especially those who didn't make it back home. Take care and happy cruising......Jim H.

Happy anniversary. I too am a veteran Iwent in army in 1966 served in Vietnam dec. 66 to dec.67. I can't believe all these years hav passed so fast.

And fortunately you've been rewarded with a wonderful life since you retired. Of course that's included LOTS of cruising... the reason we're all so jealous of you.

Having been lucky to have cruised with you several times it's been just a joy to see how much you and Helen enjoy life and travel.

Ray, what a wonderful anniversary to remember! Congratulations. I have a very warm spot in my heart for those who freely serve our country. Our next cruise is with a group of WW2 veterans who served on a destroyer druing the war. My brother-in-law was among them, but he passed away 4 years ago. We go to the reunions, in his place and in his memory.
