See this is my problem Kohls opens at 4AM and Best Buy opens at 5AM. If I want itemsfrom Best Buy I should get there first because have the longest lines and supplies are limited. But that means I will be at Kohls over an hour after they are opened and that can also mean long lines.

My MIL wants a GPS, I'm eyeing the videos games, and maybe a digital picture frame. But this is not the final list. I'm still reviewing the ads.

I prefer the store websites because these sales change from area to area. If you go directly to the stores website and put in you zip code you can get a listing of the sales in your area.

I love shopping the day after thanksgiving because it's more of a hunt. I know what I want and what stores I'm going to. I want to see how fast I can complete all my chirstmas shopping. I'm fast in the stores. I don't normally shop with other people because; I'm afraid they will slow me down. I have been known to start at 4AM (stand in line an hour) then complete all my chirstmas shopping by 7:45AM. I'm hoping to beat that record this year.

First of all, we don't have a "Black Friday" here in Canada, but even if we did, I wouldn't go anywhere near a store on that day! Our Boxing Day sales here are pretty intense, and I stay away from those too.

This year I have decided to take a "theme" approach to Christmas shopping. I will choose one "theme" such as DVDs or Books, or CDs and try to get everyone on my list the same thing (same theme, not same DVD or CD), but something to match everyone's interests. Hopefully this will make for 1-stop shopping and simplify the dreaded holiday shopping!

The only place I will be near on Black Friday is bar. No shopping where I'm going. Maybe I'll shop on Saturday on my way back home.

I sleep in and watch football.
I can NOT handle the crowds.
Kat, are you talking about a GPS for a car. Like voice directions?
If so, do NOT buy a Nextar.
If you want a portable GPS for directions.....a GPSMap76 from Garmin is a killer deal. Bought one for our boat but use it on land all the time.
Used it to find shortcuts when we were on the run from Hurricane Ivan.

I am finished my shopping and have started to pack. I try always to get things through the year, when I see something I think some one might like I get it and put it away. I just bought DS a 14 K yg tiger eye and diamond ring ( he likes tiger eye for some reason, diamond s his birthstone) and I am most anxious to give him that. Also made every one photo albums this year of the past years events. I just finished the last one the other night. I enjoy the holidays a great deal. Its always alot of work, but I love it. I too would like a digital photo frame!

Hi Trip in this area Longs Drugs is showing a 7" digital picture frame 128 MB of internal storage of $39.99 but that is after a $30 mail in rebate. However, Ace Hardware might be nicer because I don't have to worry about sending in the rebate.

I have not shopped for years. The first time I noticed that someone regifted a gift that I gave them I gave up. Why bother to buy things that someone does not want? Now I just put my money in my cruise fund.

Shopping is a drag. I buy gift cards at the stores my family likes. Then mail it with a small gift and a Christmas card. Since Earls family is Jewish
I only give food items that are Kosher.
Thats my list.

I kind of go along with the gift card idea. So I'm hoping to spend time sitting down by the beach on "black Friday". I would probably stay far away from the stores on anyway on that particular day.

No shopping for me on Black Friday, as it is two hours to any of the stores advertising. The roads are supposed to be awful. Might do some on line shopping, perhaps venture down to our Main Street, that has a couple stores, but they are very limited and very expensive.

If I lived closer to the Big Stores, it might be a different story, but they are just to far to go and stand in line.

I'll be RUSHING off to Bank of America, where I'll purchase the U.S. saving bonds for the grand sons. 8) That should take care of my shopping,,,,unless the lovely Mrs. Jones (Vita) decides she can't live without some particular item. (She just got a new Honda Accord with ALL the toys) Maybe I'll get a cruise!

The digital photo frames are on sale all over the place I know Best Buy and Staples also have them on sale. However, places like Longs and Ace have shorter lines on Friday. You would still want to get there early because supplies are limited and rainchecks are NOT granted. They are very upfront about that in the ads.

I was thinking of the Digital Photo frame for my 94 year old Grandma I would load the pictures and music before I gave it to her. I think she would really like it.

Wow the Garmins are confusing on sale this Friday there is the street pilot, the Nuvi 200, Nuvi 260, and the Garmin 660. Which one do you have? Does it do instant traffic reports? The cheapest is the Garmin Nuvi 200 for $169.99.

My Garmin (GPSMap76) is not a turn by turn driving tool, rather a mapping device. We bought it to be able to load water depths but haven't quite figured out how.

I bought the Nexstar to help me get around in new areas because I am on the road a lot. It pales in comparison to the Never Lost system but, then, it only cost 200 bucks.

Many have instant weather and traffic report capability (for a fee).
If I had to do it over I'd go with Tom Tom.

Staples has the Navigon 2100T with free lifetime traffic reports (normally $99) for $99.99. I have a MIO it's nice but the traffic element is very important in California.

My Garmin (I call her Gladys) has been a lifesaver for me in a new city and state. I have been able to find my way everywhere. However just miss a turn and she gets an attitude!

oh Laura I just died laughing when I read this post. We travelled last January for the first time with dear Garmin in hand, she was a riot...................I found the volume mote button real fast...............it's like honey, I know we missed a turn, and I know you are re calculating but kindly do so quietly cause we need a bite to eat! But they are great to have and just secure feeling other than pulling over, scouring maps .

Laura, you named your GPS after my mother?
I hate to tell you, my late mom couldn't find her way out of a paper bag!
She was known to try to leave people's houses through their front closet door! I hope you have better luck with your "Gladys"!!

Check out Best Buy but they will start giving out tickets at 3AM 42" 720P plasma $899.99 and 65" projection 1080P $1499 stand out in my mind. However, there are many more sizes. They have miniums of 15 on hand. Well I'm off to bed I gotta get up early tomorrow. I'm shooting for 2AM wake up.
