on another post, Melody indicated that most Southern men have a signature meal that we cook when we are "entertaining" a Southern Lady...it's the "can't miss" meal...
I thought it would be fun to ask the male posters, what is their "can't miss" meal
Mine is
Caribbean Black Bean and Rice Salad
Caribbean Crab Cakes with Spicy Dipping Sauce
Roasted Chicken with Fennel Stuffing and Currant Relish
Candied Yams and Pineapple
Decadent Peanut Butter Pie
Santorini Wine
and for breakfast the next morning 8)
Spicy Shrimp with Grits

I do not know why so many serve beans, for obvious reasons. And, surely, someone out there must be aware of the allure of lobster, but too messy for a first date. Perfectly prepared filet mignon with merlot sauce sounds good. Actually, I think the important thing is to make her feel special. Best hint I can give you guys.
