Default CruiseMates Article on New Ships

I found the article on the homepage informative and well written. Then, under Oceania, I came to the following quote:

Quote:
Also the recipient of equity funding by Apollo, Oceania's fleet soon will be intermingled with that of Regent Seven Seas, which Apollo bought out 100%. Apollo has named Oceania president Frank Del Rio as the overseer of the entire operation, which could turn into the luxury cruise powerhouse of the future.
In all of the press releases from Apollo Management and Regent Seven Seas Cruises, it has been explicitly stated that Regent and Oceania would not be intermingled. Is this a scoop from Art Sbarsky that there will be intermingling or a supposition by Paul?

thanks,

No Marc, in case you missed it, the lines will remain separate, but all will be under the conttrol of Oceania president Frank del Rio.

Certain things are being merged, sales, for example, and as time goes on more things will likely merge.

Apollo Management is all about "management" of MONEY. Their specialty is making companies prfitable by elimating redundancies and consolidating resources.

Paul, thanks. Frank Del Rio is no longer Oceania President; he is President of Prestige Cruise Holdings. I believe someone else is now in charge of Oceania.
