Default Should I get a spray tan?

Has anyone ever gotten a spray tan before vacation? I'm so pale I would like to get a base tan, and I won't go in a tanning bed.
Will it be messy?

I hear MAACO do a real great paint job! Check your yellow pages or online for their nearest location!

Be careful I have heard some of these products can be affected by saltwater. You don't want your "tan" to come off in the water.

I found this on a website.

DHA solutions do not contain sunscreen and will break up when you come in contact with chlorine and saltwater.

Can you picture it you got your nice spray on tan you look great you go into the saltwater part of the tan comes off. You can out of the water spotty.

Nah, why bother! They'll be lots of other pasty-whites on board with you! Put the money to better use....a good sunscreen, toward a shore-excursion, etc.

Don't do it. It looks fake and will wash off. You seem to want to have some color. Safely get a base tan in the tanning beds, used sunscreen (not sunblock) on the cruise so you get some more color. Use common sense of course but an hour or two in the morning and some later afternoon sun won't kill you. It is good for you, makes you look and feel good! It is better to look good than to feel good!

Use 15 SPF on face shoulders and more sun sesnitve areas, 8 SPF on the rest and get some sun!! Don't be a fraid. Putting 45 SPF on is like staying in your cabin!

I was a poolside tanning consultant for 12 years with Panama Jack during the heyday of tanning so I do have some experience. We use to have a saying:

"Better to be tan and tasty than white and pasty!"

We have another too:

"You buy and I apply" had to be careful who you said this too.

DTW what do you think of face cream with SPF? Is it was effective as regular sunscreen lotion?
