Default Don't forget!!!

Next week, on I think Monday 8AM GMT (my NZ local time Tuesday 9PM) there is an asteroid doing a flyby of earth at approx 500,000 Kms (300,000 miles or so) from earth!!

It's a close one but rest assured the next "close" flyby is in 2027.

Just in case their calculations are a little off, "bye, bye" in advance lol.

Actually, that is an extremely close pass.

The moon orbits at an average of 250,000 miles, so this one will be about that close.

And someday, one of these things is going to hit us. Something to ponder tonight on your way to sleep...........!

MD that info kind off freaked me out so I double checked my info at the NASA web site and the actual distance is said to be 334,000 miles which is 1.4 lunar distances.
It has been taken off the 'current impact risks' list so thats a good thing.
