Default Melody, early or late dining darling?

Melody, Nancy just called me and asked since our bookings are all sort of linked, if we wanted early or late dining? I thought Rob and I would let the kids eat early at the buffet so they don't have to sit through a long drawn out "gown up" dinner every night and they can go whoop it up at the kid's club (although they will probably want to join us on formal night, since they love to dress up) and that way we can enjoy each other's company for late dining if that is alright with you. If not let me know what your preference is and we will do what ever possible to make it happen.

Thanks!

That will be great!!
I kind of wanted a suite, but what I really wanted was the extra space and an extra bathroom, which a suite wouldn't get me, so for a few hundreds bucks more we just went ahead and got two rooms for us, that way the kids will be in their room with their own TV and bathroom and we'll be right next door and the rooms should connect by the time the refurb is done. Melody since you and Cathy are together, I will go ahead and copy you both when the confirmation comes if that's OK.

Phil and Liz, congrats on your first suite!!
Even though this cruise is just now in it's formative stages and so much is yet unknkown (Kuki is indeed a man of mystery) I can already tell there will never be a dull moment on this trip. So bring it on and let the good times roll woohoo!

Hey Beenie! Two of my coworkers just signed up for the cruise. Well I think they called and left a message for Nancy! I told them to request late dining and to link to us!

Cool Girl!!! I think this cruise may end up being a Cruisemates charter lol! When we return we'll read all the posts from people who are upset because of this large, unruly, wild group that took over the Carnival Fantasy. !!!

Hey Beenie!

Well my coworker (who shares your first name!) talked to Nancy, who said they couldn't book right now because of the "discussion" with Carnival, which centers around the amenities ($75.00 shipboard credit). She said she had room for them but would have to wait for the answer from Carnival, which she should have some time today. I told her to ask how many cabins had been booked. I'm curious to see if we will indeed "charter" this ship. I doubt it because we would need EVERYBODY from Cruisemates to book ALL of the cabins. It does promise to be great fun for everyone!

Mel I would mention to your coworker, not to stress over it. I hear that the powers that be here at Cruisemates are on top of the situation and have it well in hand.

The early bird always seems to get the worm. and with or without ammenities, I know that people will get more than their money's worth on this cruise. Don't tell Carnival but I would have booked it either way, However, I probably would have only booked one cabin and not two though.

But regardless it's a good deal.

The shipboard credit was not the must have for me! Just the fact that it is a Cruisemates Cruise out of New Orleans, cinched the deal for me! I think we are going to have a blast!

Mel,
Glad to hear that you have more people wanting to join us.

You guys are way too persistent digging for information, so let me explain a bit about the "glitch" we're straigtening out.... I'll try and give the short version....

I was on the ship when they announced Bloggers 2. That same evening I emailed Nancy and got group space with amenities... before they had announced a specific code for bookings for this cruise, which would be a higher price than Nancy got. Carnival said this was due to the extras that those in the Bloggers would be receiving.

The price difference is only around $40 or so, but it would negate the group amenities we'd got, ie the shipboard credit and cocktail party.

I objected to that happening, because it removed the extra benefit we had arranged for members of CM who booked with us. And I felt that left us no reason to promote the cruise as much as we are a CM.

Either way, there's nothing in it for CruiseMates. My arguement was based strictly on getting full and extra value or our CM folks.

Paul Motter, John Heald and I have been communicating alot over the last day to get this all in place. John has assured me that he will make certain all the people booked into the CruiseMates group will get everything we've promised them already.. and MORE.

So, it's just a matter of getting a final ruling on pricing from Carnival head office.... which we hopefully will get today. (I think we've offered them a challenge. )

I've also asked Nancy not to give out so much information, and not to tell everyone who calls how many cabins are booked etc. She really does not need people calling her every day for that type of thing. She's great about answering, but she's also got a business to run.

At the moment we have 33 cabins booked, and it's just over a week, so we're doing great!!

Once we get a final answer on the pricing issue from Carnival I'll start a new Bloggers 2 Cruise board. And I promise to post pertinent information, like cabins booked, on a regular basis.

I'm currently working with John and other Carnival people on something else related to the Bloggers 2 Cruise that I think is going to REALLY be fun, and special!

Everyone just has to be a little patient..... things will unfold, announcements will be made, and there's NO DOUBT, this cruise, and this CM group is going to be "one for the ages".

No one accused anyone of creating havoc. I was just providing information, which I thought would be helpful... in relation to what you were talking about.

Let's face it, if it's posted on the boards people read it. If you really wanted to keep it between you and Beenie, you'd be talking about it via PM. You obviously want someone else to read it, though it may not be me

Hey handsome, I'm behaving, not digging for info. calming the masses, not wreaking havoc. I am not doing anything persistently aside from being myself, well you know I can't change that. I knew about the glitch, because of your post and Nancy and I discussed it when I called in to book the second cabin. I have been behaving for a change. Now don't get too used to it. I only asked when you would like for me to arrive and depart lol! I know you don't have it all sewn up yet. It's all good Mooseman!

I wouldn't call Nancy to ask her how many are booked because I could probably just scour the board if I really wanted to know. However, I would call Nancy though if I need to book a cruise , and I may have to call her to ask her about a refund from another transaction, but hey that's another story altogether. But I promise I won't call to see if the glitch is worked out, or how many cabin's are booked.

I am glad you got this put together. I have no doubt that it will be wonderful. We're all looking forward to it and I appreciate all of the hard work you are devoting to it. I also appreciate the fact that you are sticking to your guns and trying to negotiate the very best deal for your Cruisemates.

Hey sorry I was not too yalkative in chat last night, as soon as I logged in, the phone rang and of course I can't walk and chew gum at the same time let alone type and talk at the same time. As I get older the less able I am to multi-task. The brain is slowing down.

I'm really not sure why anyone would think I was accusing or trying to dump or blame you guys for anything. That was certainly not what I was saying, or my intent.
Maybe you just expect that from me

I saw the discussion so thought I would post the facts, rather than just let other people reading conjecturize (is that a word?).... guess I could have used speculate.

Meanwhile we're still waiting to hear from the Carnival sales dept. and poor Nancy is chomping at the bit to fill all the orders for cabins which have been piling up.

Me either Beenie! I don't have a mischievious bone in my body AND Kuki.....I was just yanking your chain. I know bells and whistles go off at Cruismates Central when I hit "Submit"! But yes, it does worry me when you are looking over my shoulder! I never know when I'm gonna get banned from this board! You guys are relentless!

No really, I didn't know the glitch was a super secret....it was mentioned in passing by my coworker....and I was chatting with Beenie. NOW...you probably SHOULD worry about what goes on in my PM's!

You can't blame me for wanting to be involved in something originating in my state.....it's a Southern THANG! I know you will do a fantastic job and I look forward to my surprises.......BUT...I have never been accused of not speaking my mind!

You know I love you, even though we've never met! AND I know you are going to be MAD about me when you finally get a chance to see me in person......or is it mad AT me?????? I dunno!

Now I have to know, is there an alarm that sounds everytime we type your name? Because if so, we will give you a nickname.....something southern.....like Cooter or Bubba!

Quite the contrary Mel. As the plans fall into place we'll be counting on you and Venice and others in the area to help out and get VERY involved in helping the group.

You have no idea what I have planned for you
