Default I have to sign in almost everytime I try to post?

I was wondering why this is happening? It didn't do this before.

It seems like if I post something or answer a question, I have to re-enter my name and password.

Does anyone know why?

Thank you
Darlene

If you closed your browser and had cookies cleared that may be why.

that should take care of it, unless you clear your cookies!

That is my problem!
I do clear the cookies ever so often, because I have been scanning pictures of the family and my computer needs the memory to do this. Of course my husband keeps telling me to get a new computer. I am so attached to this one.
If I keep up the photography work, I guess I will have to fold and start looking.

Once again....you helped me out!

Thank you
Darlene

No problem Darlene, you are welcome. If you look into a new computer, let me know make/model and I'll be more than happy to help out. I do have a background in computer hardware.

Captain, since you offered.........

I have a Dell Latitude laptop, and it needs a new battery. The current battery holds a charge for only 45 minutes or so before it dies.

Where can I get a decent battery at a good price? And how should I use the new battery so as to maximize its useful life?

Thanks!

Dean

Dean,
A very good source for anything battery-related is www.batteriesplus.com
Try to get a battery with a higher amp-hour rating, the higher the amp-hour rating, the longer the battery life between charges. Voltage rating MUST BE the same as the original battery.

Using your battery/power management program, try using 'Maximum Power Saving" setting, this will somewhat decrease the response speed and also the brightness of the screen but it gives you much longer use from the battery and it also puts the computer in sleep/stand-by mode afetr a few minutes of idle time, thereby saving battery power/time.
On some Dell models, you can also decrease/increase the screen brigthness by pressing the FN and +/- buttons. Decreasing screen brightness will increase battery life between charges. Oh, one final thing, which should be obvious, when at home, leave the laptop plugged into an AC power supply, conserve battery use for when you are mobile.

Hope the above hints help.
