Default 4 week update on BIL / accident

Well... just talked to my sis.... my BIL woke up today after being in a coma for 4 weeks !!! He had to get a tracheotomy on Wed and they took him out of the Roto Bed today.... they were hoping the Trach would be more beneficial with the pneumonia.... and he started waking up a few hours after they moved him.

He appears to be coherent, is trying to talk, but cant... he can recognize people around him & his blood pressure started rising when my sis was crying (tears of joy) so she will really have to watch that around him so as not to upset him. They had over 20 people come in to the hospital today to see him but they are limiting it still to immediate family. Im glad these people are there for my sis... as I cant be....

Anyway... wanted to update yall & thank you all for your prayers & kind thoughts !!

Take Care -
Stephanie

That's great news Steph! I've been searching and searching for an update but have been too fearful to ask! I'm so glad the news is getting better. You and your family are in my prayers.

Steph, what wonderful news! I was so fearful when you last wrote he was septic, and I really expected to read the worse.... It is sounding really good that he is going to pull thru. Continued prayers are coming their and your way.

Thats just wonderful news! The human body has an amazing ability to heal, the human spirit and all, medical care advances almost daily. I am sure you are all feeling mighty grateful and relieved.

However slow the recovery might go, this is certainly a good start. Hope he recovers fully!!!

Glad to hear there are lots of people there to support the family.
