I'm still up and it's 2AM! I went to the State Fair Sunday for 12 hours with my neighbors and I'm miserable with a belly-ache! Must have been that "Fried Snickers" candy bar that I ate (on top of everything else ).....

Good Morning CruiseMates!! Day off today and I will relax and try to get rid of this cold. It is going to be nice here today in the 70's. I am thinking I will go and look for rose bushes to plant. I bought 2 hibiscus the other day and they are so pretty. Have a great day all.

Good morning from Orlando. Irish, I miss my 10 minute commute that I used to have. Now it's 35-40 minutes but worth it to be away from the micro managing idiot who was my last supervisor at that location.

Inquiring minds want to know........what is a fried snickers bar?
Good morning............its cold, bright..........I think I prefere dull and snow, cold hurts my hands and feet alot.
Got everything done yesterday and more so I was pleased for that.
Have a great day every one.

Good morning from Florida Today is another busy day with dropping off one kid at work, picking up wedding under gown an dlooking at wedding stuff. WE found a place that rents arches etc for good rates. Oldest daughter is off today so we will look at it and she will be picking what she wants to use for the wedding. Also need to look at the flower book etc etc. It's fun but also stressful thats for sure!
I am not doing too well as I am dealing with internal stuff I see no end in sight.
My dad is starting his treatments for cancer today and I pray all goes well.
Very cold here - 5 degrees before we figure in the wind - so it feels well below zero, as it is very breezy - and grey, again.
Will be puttering around here today to try and get everything I didn't do over the weekend. I just run out of steam very quickly, or perhaps I have just grown really lazy.
Fried Snickers?...wow
Sue - will be praying for you.
Laura - how I would love to be able to work in my garden...it will be a long time before that happens. You moved at a good time, anything to miss this winter...it has just been really long. And there is so much left of it to get thru.
Morning All, from Montreal where the sunshine will fool you - it's -16C with a windchill of -28C or 18 below 0 Farenheit! We will NOT be taking the kids outdoors to play today!
Yesterday while we were out to lunch near a lake, we watched snowmobilers and snow sailers whipping around the frozen lake. It was so windy that the sails were lifting the riders right off the surface and they were flying!
Plenty of ice fisherman out there too. Not my idea of a good time...
Fried snickers... . I will pass on that. Good morning cruisemates. Dark and cloudy with a 60% chance of rain today. I'm off to the doctor soon to do blood work. Gotta make sure my liver is still working correctly and my blood pressure has been out of sight again.

Good morning to all!! One nice thing about starting work in
the afternoon. I can have my breakfast now and go back to bed and sleep a few hours. have a good one!
Hi Kids,
Bright and cold here, so I think I will stay in and bead bead bead....
That's about the extent of it...wish I had a cruise to get me to the heat!
Make it a good one.

Good Morning!!! Guess I am doing the equivalent of the doc dance for our upcoming land cruise to Barbados as I finished making all travel arragements, lodging, air, insurance and airport parking in Philly (Philly is notoriously tight for parking so it is best to reserve in advance at an off-airport lot). I have even checked out where to buy groceries.
Fried Snickers is taking somthing bad for you and making it even worse. It is an invitation to a heart attack.
Hope everyone has a great day and I will try to check in more often.

Good morning from sunny Southern California. Another warm day . . . I'll take it, too, because mid week, temps plummet and become more winter-like. Oh well, it was nice while it lasted.
We spent a nice day in Pasadena yesterday with lunch at P.F. Chang's and a little shopping and sitting in the sun just people watching.
Today, just the usual stuff . . . gym day, ironing, dentist . . .
Glad all of my CM's are having a good day!
Let me just explain what a Fried Snickers is....usually at fairs they have places where you can get things like Snickers, Reese's peanutbutter cups, Oreos, Twinkies..all dipped into a wet batter (similar to a corn dog) and then deep fry it for a few seconds until golden brown. I know it sounds gross, but they are pretty tasty. I'm sure it is the most unhealthy food that one could ever put in one's body, but eating just one once every year or two, shouldn't be too bad...lol. Now don't get me started talking about the "Elephant Ears"........

Inis:
I so agree with you, once a year, maybe.
The elephant ears, funnel cakes and everything possible dipped in batter and deep fried is a Fair or Kennywood(Pittsburgh) or at the big amusement parks. How about the huge turkey legs at the NASCAR races??? Now that is a real treat!!!!!

Food that tastes that good can't be good for you.
Darlene
....REDWITCH, you are so right about that! I still have the elephant ear that I brought home and it's sitting on the kitchen counter because I just can't bring myself to eat it (guilt?).....lol. They also had those turkey legs at a couple of vendors and they were selling like hotcakes (pun, intended)!

Inis thanks for the explanation! I have never ever seen that and I cannot even imagine what it would taste like. Learn something new every day.......

A funnel cake is batter poured through a funnel into hot grease and fried on both sides. It looks like a big waffelly looking thing. Powderd sugar is added as soon as it is removed and put on a paper plate while it is hot. It is a finger food....
I tried a taste of a corn dog the other day...........nasty!! Won't be doing that again anytime soon. Now a snickers......hmmm that sound pretty good. Since I won't be going to the fair I guess I won't have a chance to try it.

What?!?! You don’t like corndogs…. I can’t believe that anyone wouldn’t like them; it’s my favorite part of going to the fair. Well I guess the good news is it means more for me
