Default A law suit about fuel charges

It has been brought to my attention that there is a suit filed in court relating to fuel charges. What this suit says is that several of the cruise lines colluded together to charge more money for fuel after the fuel contracts had been signed. I don't mind paying for the price of a cruise because it does cost to run a ship but I do mind paying extra for fuel when this was an unnecessary charge!

I have heard a bit about the law suit.. I wasn't surprised at the surcharge.. but our upcoming cruise was completely paid for when they added it. And I believe that's a part of the suit.. that perhaps you'll get your $$ back if it was already paid. The suit, though, is in fact for collusion.. if you noticed they all went up about the same within about 3 days!

I agree that if your cruise was paid for, in full, before the time that the fees kicked in, then you should not have to pay the extra charges. Now, for those who have to pay their cruise after that date, shame on you. Oh, by the way, that group includes me.

I think it stinks that those who already reserved and paid a deposit still had to pay the fuel surcharge. Isnt a reservation and deposit like a letter of intent.......?
