Why would you want to throw them in the garbage for. I have a 25 day and a 50 day pin from Holland America. and i like to wear them on formal night. i think they look good on my suit.
I collect them but only if I've been on the ship. I presently have 6 Carnival ship pins on my backpack, along with a Princess pin, a CruiseMates keychain, a Carnival keychain, 2 cruiseship pins, pins from every port I've visited (except St. Lucia because I was too sick to go shopping!).
My backpack is getting heavy, but I love looking at my collection every day on my way to work because it reminds what I'm working for - to cruise again!
I have four Carnival Freedom pins that need a new home besides the garbage can.
I would love one and would, of course, be willing to pay for it, or at the very least, at least the postage... I collect all the ones I have been on and try to get the ones I haven't been on, like the Freedom...
You can email me at elainem304 at aol.com. Thnx...
I started putting the pins (the Carnival funnel, with the name of the ship) on my cap, but it's getting too heavy. I guess I'll start putting them somewhere else. Great collector items IMO.
Well, I guess I lost the sweepstakes for the pins.
Michael,,,what pin or pins do you want? If I have an extra of that one, I'll send it to you. I see you ain't gettin' no respect.

Thanks Ken. I don't have an Ecstasy pin even though I have been on her three times.
Michael,
Did you get an Ecstasy pin? I think I may have an extra. Let me know if you still need one and I will go digging through my cruise treasures!
Cathy
No Cathy, I don't have that one yet. The way my finances are due to my retirement, I don't think I'll be getting one from her soon. I'll send you a PM.

Carnival really needs a store where you could by replacement pins. That would be a great help t us all and they could make a little bit of profit.

That's true, but they wouldn't be quite as "valuable" if you could just go and buy them. Now, when you see them, you know that somebody actually sailed that ship in order to get the pin. Yes, we trade them, and share them, but somebody did indeed sail the ship to get the pin. I kind of like it the way it is.
I understand and agree, but if you can proved that you sailed on that ship, but you have lost you pin. It would be nice to be able to replace it. In my case my DW and I are looking for 2 Celebrations pins. Even though she was small, we love our cruise on her. Don't have the pins, but we do have the memories and pictures
Call Carnival Guest Relations Dept... I did that about 1 year ago and what a surprise when I got an envelope filled with each and every ship that I had been on...
I was so excited that I immediately called up the woman I spoke to originally and thanked her for them....
Give it a try... you never know what may turn up in your mailbox....
