Hello all,
we are in our 1st port of call, Catalina, got here around 8am this morning
I will upload some pics......
So we boarded the Paradise yesterday around 12 Noon, where on the ship real quick, Carnival Concierge Club makes short of long lines, we were onboard in about 5 minutes of entering the terminal! That's fast!
We had a quick lunch and went looking for the Maitre d' to change our table to early seating, the Mrs wanted to try early seating for a change and it threw everything off for us!!!

So much for my afternon nap, after the Life Boat Drill, it was time to change and go to dinner.
We were in bed by 10pm last night, we did not even go to the Welcome Aboard Show. AND WE WERE UP AGAIN BY 3AM..........We cruised for cheap and we got exactly what we paid for.

We had cabin M259, stay away from this cabin if you are ever on the Paradise, nothing but noises from below and some weird howling noise that went on and on and on and on until I could take it no more...........3AM finds me at the Pursers Desk, I asked the girl there "Why do they have such a beautiful girl like you working the graveyard shift"! She told me "Sir, you just made my day, now what can I do for you"? Five minutes later I was keys in hand and in an OceanView Cabin!

Perfectly quiet, no noise, no nothing! The other cabin would be perfect for a Haloween cruise with all the weird noises and howling going on all night long!

At 9am we get a $3 bottle of Carnival Champagne on ice and 2 champagne glasses compliments of the Purser. Nice compliment and it's the thought that counts.
Last night the Mrs ate something that did not quite go down well with her, she woke up throwing up and also had the runs early in the morning. She seemed to be Ok by around 7am.
So it has been an interesting first day. I am in Avalon as I type this message, it is now 2pm and we plan to head back to the ship in an hour or so. If you have any questions, I will be online for a while and I will try to answer them.
